Artistic Justice: Positions on the Place of Justice in Art is a series of international public symposia leading towards EVA International – Ireland’s Biennial in 2014. This series of symposia are curated by Omar Berrada, a writer and translator who grew up in Casablanca and lives between Morocco and France, and Doreen Mende, an author, curator and researcher based in Berlin, at the invitation of EVA 2014 curator Bassam El Baroni. Artistic Justice: Positions on the Place of Justice in Art brings together acclaimed international speakers, explores multiple positions of justice in art, creates opportunities for dialogue and forges new links across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
