General Information
The Foundation operates on the basis of a board of four people. The body is the ultimate four-person Board of Trustees. In total, the Foundation works in a team of 7 people. We are a young organization that has had the first year of operation and a turnover of EUR 12 000. Today we launch the project of the Swiss Fund for an amount of 22500 EUR. And start the second of the Youth in Action for the amount of 9000 EUR. We provide also ACTIVITY business, in which mostly offer training in community activities. We work with a network of Partner Groups in Poland, the NGOs in the country and the world, companies and local governments.
Mission and Objectives

We have established Foundation of Active Places and People sharing the need for acting for local development and cooperation with various partners all over Poland. The source of our inspiration is the richness of local natural and cultural heritage – that fascinates us – and active and creative people, that feel responsibility for the place they live.
We create new, innovative solutions and implement long-term development programs basing on mutual work of various environments and social groups. We specialize in initiating networks of cooperation and exchange of experience, sustainable tourism, entrepreneurship, local brands of products and places, education and mobilizing local communities.
Who we are:
We have knowledge, experience and energy to act. We know needs and challenges of local communities. We know how to bring together and inspire people and organisations to realize common goals.
What we aim at:
We aim at sustainable improvement of local communities’ quality of life. We create development based on natural and cultural values of places as well as activity and mutual responsibility of their inhabitants.

Main Projects / Activities

Active People – people from various environments, including children and youth, who know and value natural and cultural resources of the Place, they live in, and want not only to co-decide but also to contribute to its development by creating brand products and services based on local heritage.
To support all aspects of regional development Foundation MiLA operates in four thematic areas:

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

We have experience in promoting the cultural heritage - such as creating Ecomuseum, Questing, and more. I want to share this knowledge with other organizations and countries and implement joint actions and projects.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We would like to cooperate in the efforts of nature - cultural heritage organizations in the Mediterranean. As part of this collaboration we want to move to the Poland best practices, especially in rural areas and encourage communities to take action in the field of heritage protection. We also conduct these types of projects and we experience for example, in creating Ecomuseum. I want to expand knowledge and share know - how.
