Mission and Objectives

To inform and propagate understanding about 3rd world
issues. To increase awareness about the 3rd world, both
with regard to problems the developing countries face
and to the diversity of culture and belief systems they
represent. A main goal of o3v, is to awake in children
and young people an understanding of global issues
and a desire to be involved in participating in a global
community.

Main Projects / Activities

The international dimension in Aarhus: Intercultural
competencies in school.
Project Fair Trade : PR- and Information campaign in
Schools.
Project SYS: UN children’s convention project, dialogue
via the internet. Hospitality and housing in the 3rd world.
Intercultural Competencies in Institutions: Courses for
teachers and child carers.
Animator programme: O3V is the only Danish
Organisation which specialises in “The Living Word”,
by using our 80 animators and 25 storytellers.
Local/National/European Union Co-operation.
Images of the Middle East : Festival to promote better
understanding of the Middle East, its culture, politics and
traditions – to hinder stereotyping.
