Proposals from Ireland members for NIA and CNA 2017

At the request of members of the Irish network, a meeting was held in Dublin on 30th November 2016 to discuss a proposal for an ALF activity in 2017.  Member organizations involved were:  Triskel Arts Centre (Cork), Head of Network; Maynooth University; Coiste na hIarchimi (Belfast), Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, and The Chester Beatty Library.

A working title for the agreed NIA 2017 project was:  The Island of Ireland - Morality and Legacies.  With a particular focus on rural communities and migration.  Speakers from other network country members would be invited to participate.

In view of the fact that the call has not yet been made, it was felt that activities should take place in late May or early June 2017.

While members were very willing and eager to participate in a call for partners for the CNA 2017, regret was expressed that because of financial restraints, Ireland could not be a leader on a project and therefore would have to wait to be 'invited'.

Members are anxiously waiting to see the Guidelines for both the NIA and CNA 2017.
