If you are a highly motivated student from one of the Euromed countries and you are wishing to enjoy a unique intercultural experience but still wondering what you can do for the summer vacation, this piece of news if for you.

The Anna Lindh Foundation is offering you the possibility to apply for one of its summer programmes of the Anna Lindh – La Caixa Chair Summer School at Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkey, from the 8th to the 12th of September; and the Summer University at the Institute for Social and European Studies in November in Koszeg, Hungary.

The summer schools are targeting young students from the Euro-Mediterranean region, who are enrolled in a Bachelor or Master degree in social sciences and humanities and who are highly motivated to advance their knowledge in intercultural dialogue and the Euromed relations.

Beside its academic dimension, this programme attempts to mobilize local civil society actors and stakeholders to participate in international seminars, gatherings and workshops with experts, scholars and students, in order to explore the needs, the challenges and the opportunities linked to the promotion of intercultural relations and social cohesion between the two shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

In 2013, the Anna Lindh Chair programme organised the first edition of the Anna Lindh – La Caixa Summer School, which offered inter-active workshops, lectures, and sightseeing for a group of students and professors from many Euro-Mediterranean countries in Istanbul, Turkey.
