The European Institute of the Mediterranean launches an open consultation on a renewed partnership between the European Union and its southern neighbourhood.

The conjunction of the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona Process, new challenges arising from the pandemic and a new EU financial framework for 2021-2027 has created a momentum for looking into new opportunities for the relations between the EU and its southern neighbours. In this context, the European Union will release a Joint Communication at the beginning of next year on a renewed partnership with the southern neighbourhood.

Eager to involve large constituencies and to contribute to the reflections on a renewed partnership with the Southern Neighbourhood the European Institute of the Mediterranean has launched a consultation in the form of a questionnaire. It targets respondents from both the European Union and Southern Mediterranean Countries, including experts, civil society representatives and policy-makers.
