ANAPLOUS is a private owned company dealing in structuring studies; designing and creating projects in culture areas; in life long learning assignments; and in strategic communication. The company was established in 2005 by Vassileia Katsani following the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games where she managed on behalf of “Jack Morton Public Events” the music production coordination for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Games. She has over 23 years of experience in cultural event organization, planning, promotion and execution.
Mission and Objectives

ANAPLOUS’ main concern and orientation is creating efficient operating practices for Cultural business’ so as to improve their financial results; and bettering the welfare living standards in national and transnational environments and communities.
ANAPLOUS' guideline is that the cultural outcome both as a creation and its harvest must be a spotless and “contributing” element to the economy. To this end, ANAPLOUS generates and initiates original ideas; organizes and accomplishes innovative projects in synergy with an extended network of strategic co-operations; blueprints novel practices for the implementation of the corporate social role; and actively participates in expanding the corporate advancement.

General Information

Our non-profit organization has been active since 2011. The purpose of the organization is to contribute to get the performing arts center position in education (formal or no-formal) and also to contribute to the search of approaches and techniques for theater as an art form and as educational tool. The organization places great emphasis on the development of educational and cultural projects in the promotion of non-formal and informal education, social and creative entrepreneurship and networking between organizations, to share experiences and enhance their potential. Our vision is the Revival of old FIX factory , a landmark and historical monument of 24 000 sq.m. into a creativity idea factory that will foster all kinds of art. We are already using 1200 sq.m. which we restored and brought back to life, we are in the process of renting 2000 sq.m. more, and we plan to restore it and transform it into workshop areas and in the first academy of technical circus in Greece in collaboration with Professors from Aristotle University, Street Artists and Acrobats. Main activities of the organization are: • Organization and participation of local and international practices, drama workshops, seminars, conferences and other training activities, as in the evaluation workshops, promotion and diffusion of effective practices • Organization and implementation of programs in and out of schools • Organization and participation in research groups • Publishing of books, periodicals, educational material, studies or publications • Organization and participation in artistic productions and cultural events • Create networks of partners to promote the arts in education and in all matters related to the purposes of the Association The objectives of the organization accelerated through the implementation of regional and international actions, always with the initiative and participation of young people in all stages of operations. The projects of the association are innovative and provide a variety of learning opportunities in the educational activity. In the association there is not employed paid staff, but works with the support of youth volunteers . Volunteers are people from all social and cultural classes, without any distinction, and are also the target group of the organization. Members of the organization include people who have experience and expertise in the organization, implementation and monitoring of festivals, conferences, bilateral and multilateral projects, but also people with a university education, including Education and Social Policy graduates: Adult Education (Specialist in Continuing education and Consulting), Law, Psychology, Literature, Social Worker and other specialties that are necessary when one deals with young people. The organization is located in Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece, a city of one million with the largest number of youngsters due to many universities that exist in the city. The city in history has been the crossroads of cultures and movements, with a strong position on the world map. Also in modern history has been the capital of culture and youth, leaving a rich legacy to future generations, but also a great obligation to continue to respond to what has been build so far.

Mission and Objectives

1. The aim of this association is scientific, artistic, educational, inquiring and by no means profit. In particular, the association’s purpose is the research of Theatre in Education, as it has already scientifically developed and the applying of theatre, educational drama, and in general performing arts in all forms of education. 2. The goal for the association is to contribute, so as the performing arts will gain a main part in Education (formal and non-formal), while helping the research of approaches and techniques in the use of Theatre both as an art form and a learning tool. Specifically the goals are: a. The initial and continuous education on issues such as i) techniques on theatre and in general on performing arts like direction, scenography, choreography, dramaturgy, music, e.t.c.  ii) Establishment and operation of educational and theatrical groups.  iii) Theatre, educational drama and theatrical game utilization to approach cognitive subjects in and out of the school curricula at all levels.  iv) Social theatre, drama therapy, psychodrama, music education, e.t.c. b. The exchange of experience, contact and acquaintance with educational systems and scientific and artistic institutions of other countries. c. The critical presentation of contemporary trends over the theater in education and the other relevant educational  and theatrical sciences, the presentation of young researchers work, the addressing-presentation of current issues and cooperation - communication with relevant institutions, both on a national and international level.

Main Projects / Activities

Indicatively, our participations in festival/concerts/actions since 2015 :  InArt Cinema (May 2016 – October 2016), free film screening every Wednesday.  In art Cinema is an all year round community building event,  via the screenings we organize parallel events like discussions around psychoanalysis and cinema , blind taste tests , mystery games , and through these events we aim to the strengthening of the social ties within our community. Until October 2016 we are screening French movie. In art Cinema was inaugurated with the screening of FESTIMAJ an international short film festival for amateur  directors ages 4 – 30. Festimaj, (May2016- June 2016) a short movie Festival. In collaboration with the French Institute of Thessaloniki, it was the first time that people in Greece could watch the festimaj movies and vote for them. There was free screening of all the categories of the festival for a month.  FREE 3 weeksPercussions and Drums Workshop (June 2016), with Victor Carme, a 25 years old French musician  FREE 2 weeks Humanitarian Clown Theatre Workshop (June 2016), with Guillaume Vermette, who is 28 years old and he is professional and experienced humanitarian clown .  Theatrical Seminar of 20hrs about the theatrical game and its use as an education tool (June 2016), with Nick Tsoleridis, a professional actor and teacher.   Stand-up Comedy Workshop (June 2016) , with Robert Coohe who is 24 years old and his workshop focused on the devising and development of new comedy material.  Festimaj, (May2016- June 2016) a short movie Festival. In collaboration with the French Institute of Thessaloniki, it was the first time that people in Greece could watch the festimaj movies and vote for them. There was free screening of all the categories of the festival for a month.  School performance with autistic children (June 2016). 19 – 25 years old volunteers of our organization prepared and organized a full theatrical performance, in which the actors were kids with special needs. The theatrical performance could not take place without the support from our volunteers.  El Aqua Negro (17th of June 2016). A theatrical play where the actors were between 19-22 years old and the whole team were under 30 years old. The 4 months rehearsals for this Play were also at FIX premises.  Antigone Project (May 2016), in collaboration with Anna Rossman Kiss(age 21)  a 4day theatrical workshop took place, that led to a performance.  1st Thessaloniki Opera Festival (September 2015) , a collaboration with the Archaelogical Service of Thessaloniki, the Concert Hall and the artistic team Skull of Yorick, that was attended by over 4000 people.(Norma, Carmen, Dido &Aeneas, Sister Angelica). During the opera festival we gave the oppurtinity to upcoming lyrical artists to participate in a professional performance. The artists in the chorus were as young as 17 years old.  Art direction of “Argyria 2015” (May 2015), a series of events of the Municipality of Thermaikos in Epanomi community, by organizing 5 concerts and several side events. Art direction and technical support of the Municipality of Thermaikos series of events, in art Cinema, with free outdoor movies in the communities of Municipality of Thermaikos under the auspices of the Italian Institute.

Social Cooperative Anemos Ananeosis was constituted in Greece in 2014 by socially active people in order to play a strategic and creative role in the promotion of social entrepreneurship, green economy, culture and social innovation. Anemos Ananeosis has 24 employees and 14 volunteers have already joined our team. For the implementation of its goals, Anemos Ananeosis is collaborating with Municipalities (especially with the Greek Green Cities Network), Institutions (UNHCR, Representation of the European Commission in Greece, European Parliament Information Office in Greece), organisations (Heinrich Böll Stiftung), EU networks (REVES, CECOP etc.), NGOs (Greek Forum of Refugees, ANASA Cultural Center etc.). The budget for 2016 is €645.474,00 and the sources are provided by the cooperation with institution for the implementation of common projects (WELCOMMON, Social Entrepreneusrhip Forum 2016, Energy Poverty projects). Anemos Ananeosis is experienced in:  Raising awareness activities: workshop on the status of Energy Poverty in Greece and the contribution of green and social innovation to address the problem, Social Entrepreneurship Forum 2014&2015, seminar on Planning Transition to Energy Efficient Cities, workshop on Energy Cooperatives in Schools, etc.  Capacity building seminars mainly on eco-social sustainability to pubic authorities and social stakeholders.  Research: policy paper on green policies, energy poverty, etc.  Networking and share of knowledge and best practices in local, regional, national and European level  Consulting services and support of bottom-up initiatives, e.g. Greek Green Cities Network, local Energy Cooperatives, social enterprises, etc.  Providing services for refugees in matters of housing, empowerment and integration. Anemos Ananeosis is providing a space where the 1st community center for refugees will operate, in cooperation with state authorities and NGOs, while it has established a fruitful cooperation with UNHCR, as well as with other international organisations and networks.  Promotion of participatory methodologies, e.g. consultation on a code of conduct for social enterprises.

Social Cooperative Anemos Ananeosis was constituted in order to play a strategic and creative role in the promotion of the:

incorporation of democracy and human rights in financial and social life,

social and environmental innovation,

employment in green, social and cultural sectors.

Main Projects / Activities

2016 main project:
1. The WELCOMMON project is about the creation of a community center in Athens which aims to support refugees in matters of housing, empowerment and integration. WELCOMMON has been granted from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (ADDMA) of the City of Athens.
The community center will be based on refugees’ active participation, social innovation and social entrepreneurship and will operate under two pillars:
 Emergency relief (e.g. housing, meals, medical care)
 Empowerment and social integration through:
• capacity building (e.g. language learning, intercultural-environmental training),
• employment opportunities (e.g. catering, cleaning services, clothes production, culture),
• engagement with social entrepreneurship,
• cooperation with the local population (e.g. employment at the hostel for unemployed Greeks, activities-events open to local population, low cost social market).
2. Social Entrepreneurship Forum 2016. Anemos Ananeosis and Heinrich Böll Stiftung GR, in cooperation with other partners (e.g. Association of Cooperative Banks of Greece, Ecological Recycling Society, Impact Hub Athens etc.) are cooperating in yearly basis for the organisation of Social Entrepreneurship Forum. Its main purpose is the contribution to mobilizing for social change in Greece, the illustration of the role of social and solidarity economy to the development of local economy, the dissemination of good practices in Europe and Greece, the creation of new tools for further development of the sector of social economy, the facilitation and acceleration of the start, financing and sustainable development of social enterprises. Social Entrepreneurship Forum 2015 (SEF) boosted the dynamic of last year’s organisation and contributed in promoting the Forum as a considerable institution of dialogue, information and networking with regard to social entrepreneurship. Critical milestones such as the draft and adoption of a Code of Conduct for social enterprises, the upgrade of the social entrepreneurship forum website into a common online platform that will provide accurate and timely information on social enterprises and innovative tools for the communication of community members ac-cording to their needs, have been set and agreed upon in the Forums’ Declaration.
3. Energy poverty and green policies. Anemos Ananeosis and Heinrich Böll Stiftung GR have jointly worked to prepare a policy report on addressing energy poverty in Greece through green social innovation. In this context, 2 workshops have been organised in order to exchange views and good practices with experts from Greece and abroad.

“ANTIGONE – Information and Documentation Centre on Racism, Ecology, Peace and Non Violence” is a non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 1993 with 11 employees and associates working on a daily basis in Thessaloniki and Athens. During 2001-2007 ANTIGONE was the official partner for creating the RAXEN National Focal Point of Greece for the EUMC (European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia) and since 2007 is the official Greek partner of the EUMC’s subsequent organization FRA (European Agency for Fundamental Rights). ANTIGONE launches a variety of awareness-raising activities, training seminars and anti-discrimination events, works on a large number of research projects with both national and European partners and disseminates relevant publications and issues press releases. In the context of its function, ANTIGONE has undertaken more than 40 studies on racism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism in the sectors of employment, education, legislation, racial violence and housing in Greece. ANTIGONE receives funding from national and European projects as well as from donations.
Mission and Objectives

“ANTIGONE – Information and Documentation Centre on Racism, Ecology, Peace and Non Violence” has as most important aim the improvement of living in various sectors of society.
The target groups are mainly the so called discriminated groups of society as refugees, migrants, minorities, prisoners, the elderly and the disabled.
Its philosophy is always to follow the needs of the people; to maintain a strong bond to the movements and groups in order to know their realities, and not to oppose projects and aims but to develop them in cooperation with the targeted groups.
Furthermore, taking into consideration the social framework of the target groups, ANTIGONE, through its activities, tries to inform and to create awareness to the society about the situation and the issues concerning racism, ecology, peace and non violence.

Main Projects / Activities

ANTIGONE launches a variety of awareness-raising activities, training seminars and anti-discrimination events. Works on a large number of research projects with both national and European partners, disseminates relevant publications and issues press releases.
In the context of its function, ANTIGONE has undertaken more than 40 studies on racism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism in the sectors of employment, education, legislation, racial violence and housing in Greece.
Participates in press conferences concerning issues of discrimination and in various Antiracist Festivals in Athens, Thessaloniki and other cities. Since 2002, it organizes an annual National Round Table. Government representatives, public officials, academics, NGOs and migrant and minority organizations participate in the event.
Some of the activities that ANTIGONE implements concern lessons of the Greek language to migrant people and refugees, consulting and support regarding employment issues towards Roma people as well as women, trainings for migrant women, creative workshops for prisoners, peace dialogue

General Information
Arena Theatre Ensemble was founded in 2005 by two graduates of the Athens Art Theatre Theatro Technis Karolos Koun, namely Alexandros Sotiriou and Eva Simatou.Today it exists as a non-profit arts organization. Its field of action is mainly the theatre. Apart from the two founding members, Arena Theatre Ensemble collaborates with an in house musician named George Diamandopoulos (who specializes in traditional Greek music and instruments) and an in house light designer, Nikos Sotiropoulos. There are a number of actors and actresses that have taken part in the performances staged. Up to today the sources of funding are private, and that is why the budgetary resources are extremely limited. However, we are now following the procedures for being financed by the state and the Greek Ministry of Culture.
Mission and Objectives

The goal set for all the performances is the creation of a lively, conscious, emotional and true communication with the audience. Truth can be met and experienced via several different routes.
Up to today, Arena Theatre Ensemble in most of its productions has explored the issue of violence and power in all its possible forms (emotional, physical, interrelational, political, mental, sexual), the relationship shaped between the victim and the victimizer and the interchange of power between them.

Main Projects / Activities

Arena Theatre Ensemble has produced the following performances:
March 2007: “Titus Andronicus” by William Shakespeare, directed by Alexandros Sotiriou, co-produced by Arena Theatre Ensemble and Athens Art Theatre Theatro Technis Karolos Koun and staged at the Athens Art Theatre.
May 2006: “The Awning” a play written and directed by Alexandros Sotiriou, produced by “Praxis theatre productions” and staged at Odou Kefallinias Theatre.
December 2005: “High America II”, Fou manchou’s escape” a play written and directed by Alexandros Sotiriou and staged at Topos Allou Theatre.
May 2005: “High America I”, a play written and directed by Alexandros Sotiriou and staged at Victoria Theatre.

Mission and Objectives

The Onassis Cultural Centre is Athens' new cultural space, open and accessible to everyone, hosting theatre, dance, music, visual arts events and letters. Its mission is to promote contemporary culture, to support young Greek artists, to cultivate international collaborations, to educate children and people of all ages through life-long learning. The Onassis Cultural Centre – Athens is a division of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, operated by a wholly owned subsidiary of the Foundation, Ariona S.A. This new cultural space was officially inaugurated in December 2010.

Main Projects / Activities

The emphasis is on modern and contemporary art and thought in all its dimensions and media. Though particularly concerned with the need to promote and support young Greek artists, the OCC has an international program and aims to create synergies with other institutions in order to facilitate the circulation of creative work within and outside Greece.

AROGOS is a cultural organization based in Preveza, Greece. Our organization is the first international NGO for the promotion of cultural heritage in North-western Greece. It was registered in the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports' Portal of Cultural organizations in September 2017. We represent the interests of professionals involved in the management of cultural heritage and seek to improve the cooperation between all affected parties.
Mission and Objectives

Our mission is to familiarize the public with the history and value of cultural heritage. Through projects and events we want to revive, promote and offer an interpretation of the local cultural heritage. In addition, our innovative programs will create a sustainable economic and cultural environment for the benefit of the surrounding local population and society in general.
The purpose of AROGOS, is to link research and innovation through the implementation of projects and cultural events at local, national and international level to achieve economic and cultural sustainability as a long-term goal. In addition, we aim to become a dynamic mechanism for the upgrading and sustainable development of the Local Authorities, through our cooperation with the civil society and by implementing innovative ideas for problem solving in modern cities. Another goal is to monitor, research and evaluate political and public questions, events and concepts related to culture and cultural products.
Our vision is to explore the history of our past in order to influence financially and culturally the sustainability of today's and tomorrow's Greece. We look forward to long-term cultural and economic sustainability in low-growth areas through the promotion of cultural heritage to attract tourism and interested stakeholders to invest in the area.
