The ‘Farah El Bahr’ cultural festival celebrates cultural diversity in Alexandria, Egypt and the wider Mediterranean region. It is hosted traditionally at the historic Citadel of Alexandria, in the city where the Anna Lindh Foundation’s international headquarters are hosted.
Since its established in 2005, the Festival has attracted each year to Egypt various cultural groups and artists from across the Arab region and Europe. The Festival programme also engages local NGOs, schools, businesses and members of the diplomatic community who partner in creating a shared space for intercultural dialogue.
