This project was organised by the Anna Lindh Foundation National Network member BAYA Association (Tunisia) in the framework of the Anna Lindh Foundation Intercultural Cities Programme.

Despite the ongoing efforts to settle principles of equality and diversity and remove gender, sexual, ethnic and cultural barriers, minorities in Tunisia are still suffering from rejection and rejecting differences in society. Accordingly, the three main thematic areas of this project are “Active citizenship for social cohesion and social entrepreneurship”, “Digital tools, media and cross-cultural reporting” and “Intercultural Education”. The chosen themes will be introduced through “Short videos on rejecting/accepting differences in society”.

The project includes two online training sessions, two days of a face-to-face training programme and the closing online panel discussion:

  • The first training session: The participants from Baya and We Love Sousse Association are being introduced to Social cohesion, the manifestations of social exclusion, and its consequences on both the individual and society
  • The second training session: The training session on Digital marketing for social cohesion and the importance of social media for advocacy and for reaching a large number of people.

Following the two online training sessions, participants have a two days training program.

  • The first training sessions have been organized in Sousse with participants from We Love Sousse association.
  • The second training sessions have been organized in Sfax in Baya association headquarters.

Both sessions are addressing the basics of photography and video editing. Afterwards, participants have to shoot two videos on a chosen topic related to the project's subject matter.

  • The online panel discussion is the fourth and last activity in this project. It will be online and broadcast live on both associations' Facebook pages. On this panel, participants will have the opportunity to project the two videos created and to discuss them and social cohesion.

Language of the sessions: Arabic (Tunisian)
