This project has been organized by the Anna Lindh Foundation National Network member Candid Foundation (Germany) in the framework of the Anna Lindh Foundation Intercultural Cities Programme.

Geographically, Germany is not a Mediterranean country, but politically and culturally more and more so. Berlin is one of the leading Mediterranean cultural capitals, with hundreds of thousands of Berliners having their roots around the Mediterranean and who contribute to a very lively artistic and cultural scene.

The panel wants to highlight the cultural wealth in the German capital and foster strong links between the artists who have Mediterranean roots in Berlin and a wider German public.
