In addition to the above-mentioned funders, we would like to highlight our European partners with whom we work closely. We highlight Per Esempio, COSPE, UNISTRASI, VHS Cham, CECL, VAB, CSI and ICSE among many others.

Mission and Objectives

GUARANI Association is a non-for-profit organisation composed of interdisciplinary professionals of different nationalities. Its mission is to develop projects for the social-labour integration of immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers and other groups at risk of social exclusion.

The objectives of the entity are to:
• Promote integration and co-existence between immigrants and host societies through mutual recognition of their rights and duties as citizens.
• Collaborate with public institutions in the transmission of the values of co-existence in Spain and the European Union (EU).
• Develop actions for the recognition of the professional competences of immigrants and for their professional recycling.
• Inform immigrants about the conditions of the labour market in Spain and the EU and promote actions to improve their employability through non-formal education training.
• Develop projects and actions to promote the social integration of minors, young people and immigrant families.

Main Projects / Activities

Guaraní was founded in 2006. For more than fifteen years, it has been developing public projects and programmes financed by the Community of Madrid, the Spanish Government, the European Social Fund, the ERASMUS+ and AMIF programmes. During its professional path, Guaraní has adapted to social changes in order to develop an intervention model based on the specific needs of vulnerable people and in respect to their autonomy and freedom.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Our organisation is always looking for new ways to reinvent itself and continue to work according to standards of excellence. For more than 15 years we have been developing projects with the sole objective of favouring the integration of those most in need, such as migrants or asylum seekers. It has not been an easy time in terms of immigration. However, that is the reason why we exist, because even if at first sight things seem difficult, you always have to look forward and carry out what you believe in.

We focus all our intervention on people and every year we see how the number of people integrated into Spanish society thanks to our projects increases (you can access this data on our website). This tells us that we are doing something right and that we have some knowledge and know-how to contribute to the Anna Lindh Foundation network. Joining the network would mean bringing this knowledge to others and receiving the same from other partners: sharing knowledge is always a win-win situation.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

Spain is an indispensable country both in the Mediterranean region and on the European continent. Culture and history tie us to the Mediterranean region and, today, the commitment to work in this dimension is indispensable, especially for organisations like ours that work mainly with migrants and asylum seekers.

As we have explained above, we have a lot of experience working both at local and European level, but we do not yet have a mechanism to incorporate this Mediterranean perspective. For that reason, joining Anna Lindh's network would be perfect for us, so that we can continue to work to foster dialogue and integration of all, no matter where they come from or where they are going to.
