Mission and Objectives

Inklusion (inclusion) is the opposite of exclusion. Inklusion has since 2003 been working to promote difference as a positive resource. And for a society with space for every body – across ethnic, religious, cultural, sexual, and political views. Through network, campaigns, events, and international cooperation we’re putting diversity as a resource on the agenda.
Diversity is a value which we seek to concretize and make operational. The starting point for Inklusion was to pose the question: ‘How can diversity become a resource in Denmark?’ Since then, we have been working with practical implementation of the diversity terminology, through awareness raising, networking, counselling, and communication of good practices – both in Denmark and the Middle East.

Main Projects / Activities

Training of Trainers and awareness raising
Living Together – CAIRO is intended to bring Egyptians and refugees of all nationalities together to work for common benefits. The project aims at building capacity in the member organizations of Tadamon – The Egyptian/refugee Multicultural Council, while initiating a large public campaign to promote diversity as a positive resource in Cairo. Co-ordinating the effort of concerned organizations and individuals, share knowledge, develop new initiatives and effectively communicate these, are central parts of the project.

General Information

Jambatan is a non-profit art and culture association founded by multidisciplinary artist Amir Zainorin and anthropologist Pia Poulsen in Copenhagen in 2008. The Malay word Jambatan translates ‘Bridge’ in English. The name promotes interconnectivity between people and recognizes the potential to create a community that serves as a catalyst for generating new forms for collaboration and activities across borders of nationality, culture, language and belief.
Jambatan specializes in interdisciplinary audience engagement collaborating with museums, art institutions, schools and organizations creating a platform for artists to share their works through dialogs, archival, pedagogy and development of imaginative and investigative exhibitions in Denmark and Internationally. We are also looking forward to work with performance artists that are experimenting with new media and put importance in research in their works.

Mission and Objectives

Jambatan works within the themes of migration, displacement, memories and decolonization based on the overall factors such as imperialism and global economic segregation impervious to the hierarchization of humanity into a racial or cultural center. It gives focus on the diaspora and minority community regardless of their ethnicity, race, religion or sexual orientation in a so called ‘world divided into compartments,’; where we see growing inequalities between the North and the South and between the haves and the haves not.
It contributes to bigger public awareness about the work of diaspora artists and offers nuances to the dialogue of the global movements of migration. It explores the notion of belonging and experiences of hybridity that exists in having multiple cultural heritage. It sparks an interest in art that enables a transnational connectedness and seeks for a sustainable lifestyle.

Main Projects / Activities

Arts festival, art workshop, symposium, art talks

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Inviting artists from other countries to participate in our activities and collaborating with different institution, organisation or artist association or collective in making art projects.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

For networking and building working relationship to make art projects.

General Information
K.U.L.U.-Women and Development (KULU) is a national women’s development and umbrella organization with 23 member organizations, 2 local organizations and an individual membership. 2 employees at the national secretariat, temporary employees under public unemployment schemes, freelance consultants and a varying number of volunteers. Budget in 2006 around 800,000 DKK. Main funding in 2006 from Danida, supplemented by fundraising from other sources. From 2007 main funding from Danida’s budget line on development education is no longer available. Hence KULU is in a process of program re-orientation, looking for new financial partners and core funding.
Mission and Objectives

• A just and sustainable world order, where women in the South have access to and control over resources, access to decision-making, and a right to control their own bodies and lives.
• To put women and gender on the agenda in all development and trade-related fora, programs and policies.

Main Projects / Activities

KULU works with information, development education, and lobby and advocacy based on extensive networking with women’s NGOs and networks in Africa, Asia, Latin America and internationally, and cooperates in alliances and thematic networks projects with Southern partners.
In 2006 KULU has initiated a new partnership and project collaboration with FEMNET Mali.
A current program focus is on youth dialogue on girls and young women’s rights, connecting partners in the South with youths in Denmark and engaging youth in dialogue and exchange. KULU is looking into the possibilities of developing a program focus on girls’ rights in the Middle East/North Africa.
