The Festival has established a solid reputation and it is now an unavoidable meeting point for cinema and Africa lovers alike. Al Tarab firmly believes that African themselves need to be allowed to tell their own history, through their own stories. Set in African societies, the films presented in Tarifa appeal to universal values, to emotions any person can identify with, bringing people together through cinema. It has evolved to become a platform where African and Spanish film industries meet.
