To promote diversity & equality through arts, community and sport development. To promote international cultural exchange and community cohesion through debates, cultural programmes and youth exchange
• Artistic programming and events - conferences, exhibitions, festivals and sports programmes of varying scales ie. Halle Orchestra 150th anniversary (Manchester, 2010), Rumi Festival (London, 2011)
• Diversity and equality policies - regional / national equality and diversity policies for Arts Council England, AGMA (Association of Greater Manchester Authorities), Kosmopolis (Netherlands), the European Research Centre (Antalya, Turkey)
• Business and Strategic Development - PANDA (Performing Arts Development Network Agency, Manchester), Khayaal Theatre (Luton), Pakistan Intercultural Alliance (Newcastle upon Tyne)
• Research - research, analysis, assessments reports, diversity & equality toolkits, helping to develop initiatives that have brought about changes with lasting benefits for communities across many regions in England and Scotland
• National and International Networks & Partnerships – work with the INCD (international network for cultural diversity) creative sector partnerships in South Africa, India, Pakistan, Europe, Turkey and the USA
CLA values diversity and believes it should be celebrated and respected. We seek to create and innovate by applying a range of skills and experiences acquired over many years working in the arts, community and sport development and training. Promote awareness of the values and work of the Anna Lindh Foundation
Participate in and support the Foundation's activities as necessary
Develop closer links with other ALF network members based in the UK and abroad
Facilitate events and seminars in the UK
Facilitate exchange opportunities for partners in the network
Undertake joint research and training
1. to share exchange opportunities to discover and promote best practices in international co-operation and cultural exchange
2. to contribute and be a part of development in strengthening civil society and fostering democratic development
3. to provide intercultural learning experiences to youth and adults and enhance intercultural tolerance and mutual understanding
4. to be a part of an international network
