Isis Centre for Women and Development

The Center is characterized by interdisciplinarity and the use of multiple languages, namely, Arabic, Amazigh (Berber), French and English. The ISIS Center aims at: enhancing research and studies on gender, women, and development through the organization of national and international conferences on theories of gender studies, women studies, and development, the organization of study days, workshops, and round-tables on gender, women, and development. It also aims at reinforcing academic and cultural relations with national, Arab and Western academic institutions, expanding a critical mass of specialists in women and gender issues through teaching and training of students.
