After Helsinki (Finland):
Athens (Greece), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Bursa (Turkey) and Olomouc (Czech Republic) are gathering more than 200 members from 17 Euro-Med countries including UK, Germany, Greece, Sweden, Lebanon, Slovenia, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Slovakia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia.
The events aim at finding solutions to the challenges the region is currently facing, to build the capacities of the network members and providing them with the necessary platform to network and to share their ideas and best practices. In addition, experts from the Anna Lindh Report for Intercultural Trends will participate to present the results of the surver. The following fourevents are taking place:
“Best Practice Social and Creative Enterprise Training”
3-9 September in Athens (Greece)
This project believes in Entrepreneurship as an important tool to create job opportunities and foster integration across the society. It, through a research-based survey and a Social Enterprise Development Training of Trainers Programme, brings knowledge, skills and expertise in Social Enterprise Development to support members working with immigrants and refugees communities to work towards economic sustainability.
The event is organised by In place of War in cooperation with Goethe Institute, Hellenic Foundation for Culture, The Museum for World Cultures and the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO.
3-6 September 2017 in Ljubljana (Slovenia)
The aim of the project is to reinforce the exchange between organizations working on intercultural issues in different cities throughout the Euro-Med region and to build new partnerships and new projects among the Anna Lindh Foundation’s network members. The project encourages the cooperation between the different ALF networks and addresses issues facing the Euro-Med region. The agenda will also tackle the migration and refugee crisis .
The project is organised by Institute for culture and development of international relations in culture in cooperation with Foundation of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East, International Cultural Centre, The Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, Institute of international relations IIR and Palantír Film Visual Anthropological Foundation
"3.S Intercultural Citizenship Education"
7-15 September Bursa (Turkey)
The Project aims at increasing awareness and knowledge towards inclusion and pluralism. It will adopt innovative approaches, already developed and integrated in common practices. The event also aims at building a learning community ready to practice intercultural dialogue and to encourage synergies between ALF network members.
The event is organised by S&G System and Generation Association in cooperation with Povod, Institute for culture and development of international relations in culture and In Place Of War.
“Be Effective! Enhancing Intercultural Media Skils"
8-11 September in Olomouc (Czech Republic)
The project will equip the ALF Network members with effective communication skills and capacities to reach a wide range of audiences and convey the message in an innovative and attractive way to combat xenophobia and extremism in Euro-Med societies and to inspire and fuel a constructive and inclusive dialogue within societies. The event will also focus on how to change the narrative in the media when speaking on the 2015 refugees crisis.
The project is organised by Institute of International Relations Prague (IIR) in cooperation with Palantír Film Visual Anthropological Foundation, Povod, Institute for culture and development of international relations in culture, International Cultural Centre, The National Trust of Slovakia, We Love Sousse, Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists and Centre International de Coopération Sud Nord.
Anna Lindh Intercultural Trends Report authors Teresa Bean, Aliki Moschis, Konrad Pedziwiatr will present the results of the survey in the events taking place in Greece, Slovenia and Czech Republic
