Europe-wide forum marks major milestone for global Youth, Peace and Security agenda
Brussels, 27 September 2017 - Forty-four young women and men from across 34 European countries participated in Brussels this week in the European regional consultation for the UN Progress Study on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS). This landmark event brought together for the first time young European peace-builders with regional and global institutions, and represented a platform to map existing good practice on youth-led peacebuilding at European level.
New York, 19 September 2017 - Intergovernmental policy-makers from both the European Union and United Nations took part today in a high-level policy event co-organised by the World Leadership Alliance-Club de Madrid and the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation. Taking place on the margins of the 72nd UN General Assembly, the policy debate focused on the critical nexus between counter terrorism, development and Agenda 2030.

Athens (Greece), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Bursa (Turkey) and Olomouc (Czech Republic) are gathering more than 200 members from 17 Euro-Med countries including UK, Germany, Greece, Sweden, Lebanon, Slovenia, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Slovakia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia.

Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, 2 August 2017 at 6 pm (Brussels time) for the European Consultation Forum on Youth, Peace and Security. Scheduled to take place in September 2017, from 25th to 27th, the event represents the culmination in a series of regional consultations carried out around the world for the first Global Study on Youth, Peace and Security.
