Füle previously has held several positions within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, serving as First Secretary of Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the UN, the Ministry in Prague, and as Czech Ambassador to Lithuania. He had served as the nation’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom before being appointed as the Permanent Representative of his country to NATO.
