Strengthening Political liberties: the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association
Raising  awareness  about  human  rights  is  a prerequisite for peace and criminal justice to ensure  creating a local environment that helps achieving justice. This can be  accomplished by focusing on educating the victims of the conflict as well as the parties involved in the conflict about human rights. However, the lack of specialized Syrian organisation is an obstacle toward achieving this goal. Given the opportunity to  focus  on  the  role  of  local  authorities and developing of local councils and its performance, FFHR  will strive to specialize in civil and political rights and will focus primarily  on  political freedoms and proper citizenship values to prevent these local authorities  and councils from becoming new dictatorships on the ruins of the larger dictatorship.   As  in  the  case  of   the  Democratic  self-administration,  which  is controlled  by  the Democratic  Union  Party (PYD),  the  Syrian  wing  of the PKK.
Fraternity  Foundation  for  Human  rights  is  working  on  civil and political human rights. This  include raising  awareness,  monitoring,  documenting, mobilizing, and advocating
Rehabilitating societies in conflict areas:
Societies liberated from ISIS control have not been able to enjoy safe an stable life. This is due to several reasons such as unilateral control of some militia that are not satisfactory  and  are  not acceptable by the international community, or due to  the nature  of  the civil  administration  in those areas in terms of lack of capacities that are needed  in  such  dangerous  areas. This raises the importance of international NGOs  with  knowledge  of  the complex  nature  and details of these communities. These   NGOs  should  be   neutral  in  their  performance  and  have  no  political association  with  local  authorities  which  will make them immune to the corruption that is prevalent in the emerging local authorities.
Fraternity   Foundation  for  Human  Rights  (FFHR)  will  work  on  establishing  a comprehensive   national   program   with   the   objective   of   recovering   Syrian communities  from  the effects of the violent conflict. This program will be based on conducting  field  research  and  surveys followed by its publication, processing and sharing  with  local  and  international  organisations.  The primary  objective of this program  is  building  a database  of  the most  dangerous effects of the conflict, its victims, and their geographical and geopolitical distribution both in Syria and abroad

General Information
My interest in Anna Lindh Foundation comes from my profession as a graduate student of Social Sciences specialized in Peace, Mediation and Conflict Research. My research interest covers different topics in different fields, yet my main focus is the Middle East Region.
Mission and Objectives

Despite the globalization and the advanced means of communication, there is still lack of understanding each other. Often we have lack of knowledge and experience to understand different cultures, religions, traditions and languages. Anna Lind Foundation contributes to the creation of a colourful space for interaction between people with diverse backgrounds. Dialogue is important to understand, coexist and build sustainable peace.

Main Projects / Activities

Currently I am working on different research projects related to the conflict in the Middle East and particularly in Syria. This includes intra-state conflict, inter-communal conflicts, armed activities regional non-state armed groups and politicization of religion in the Syrian conflict.
To present my research i participate in workshops and seminars in Finland and abroad. I also contribute to the existing literature by publishing in academic journals and in daily newspapers concerned about the developments in the Middle East.
My future research plan is to study the "small" peace agreements/ceasefires in Syria, which unfortunately do not attract the attention of the international media.

General Information
Ihsan Relief and Development” A Syrian/Turkish Organization, registered officially in Turkey and started its work since 2014. Since the establishment, we were able to implement 336 projects under five humanitarian sectors (Education, Protection, FSL, NFI/Shelter, and WASH), with a funding amount of 145,945,856 USD. Why and how this number? Our organization has a partnership with almost all UN agencies, along with other INGOs such as (Save the Children, CARE International, GOAL, ACTED, AIBI, Expertise France, GIZ, IOM, KSR, QC, Muslim Aid, IRC, Sham Relief, WHH, WVI, and others). We were able to create a great reputation among our stakeholders. In addition, we have been rated as a (low risk) organization, means that you can easily depend on us and make sure that the service will be delivered on its best. Every year, the organization have been audited financially by KPMG, and our capacity is being assessed by the OCA “organization capacity assessment” through which during 2018, we got 3.5/4.

General Information
Syria continues to host the largest externally displaced Iraqi population in the region. A vast number remain in need of urgent assistance; their economic and social situation may be steadily worsening as existing resources are incrementally depleted, remittances are reduced and opportunities for lawful employment remain limited. In parallel, Syria is currently witnessing the impact of a drought (linked to climate change), which has affected the country since 2006. In particular, over the past six months, internal migration has increased dramatically due to a loss of livelihoods. Estimates of the total magnitude of this phenomenon range from 40,000 to 60,000 families. Such population movements, coupled with existing pressures on key infrastructure stemming from the prolonged residence of a large Iraqi community in Syria, may severely affect social stability in the long run, hinder development in various ways, and exacerbate challenges associated with irregular migration. In Damascus, IOM continues to work in partnership with the Syrian government, UN agencies and civil society to respond effectively to emerging migration-related issues – particularly in the fields of emergency and post-crisis migration management and regulating migration. IOM is also supporting relevant government entities to build a comprehensive policy framework for effective migration management.
Mission and Objectives

IOM continues to assist refugees resettling to the United States of America, Australia, Canada, Sweden and some Scandinavian countries. This activity also includes family reunification.
IOM Damascus has assisted the movement of more than 27,000 refugees in Syria since 2006 – majority of who are from Iraq – to 13 resettlement countries. IOM's role includes coordination, health assessment, treatment, cultural orientation, providing ground transportation and air transportation to the refugees’ final destination, providing escorts and airport assistance at the ports of departure, transit and arrival.

Main Projects / Activities

1-Movement under the United States Refugee Programme, Australia, Canada, Sweden and other Scandinavian countries for refugees and family reunification
2-Capacity Building on Identifying and Assessing Human Trafficking and Providing Protection to Victims of Trafficking in Syria
3-Capacity Building for Border Control Management
4-Assistance to Iraqi Female-headed Families and Victims of Trafficking
