The project aims at empowering women from rural and underdeveloped areas in Bulgaria and Egypt and making a comparative analysis about the situation of women in the two Euro-Med countries. Our project idea is to encourage women to take active part in the democratic life of their countries, to freely exercise their civil rights and to show their diversity, knowledge and skills. Through the project we will also promote the two partner country cultures through cultural study visits for women and contests for children and youth.

Women for Democratic (R)evolution is an interdisciplinary project consisting of intercultural and comics workshops, cultural activities, exhibitions and publications of participants’ works created within the workshops. The basis of the project were 5-day comics workshops directed at 30 participants ( young women) from Poland and Egypt led by 3 artists from both countries. Their reflections on the topic were presented in comics they created. The introduction to comics workshops was 1-day intercultural workshop for participants and artists led by Polish and Egyptian experts. Open discussion on democracy, human rights, equality and diversity helped participants understand better the project’s key theme and strengthen their artistic expression. The effect of the project is an exhibition and online publications. The exhibition has already been shown in Gdańsk and in the following months it will be shown in Cracow, Poznan, Wroclaw and Cairo in cooperation with ALF members. The project is developed together with Arteria Association (Poland) and Darb 1718 (Egypt) and is a part of the 8th Festival of World Cultures “Window onto the world”.

The present project is aimed at outlining the comprehensive dimension of migration from Southern to Northern shores, with the long term goal of enhancing intercultural dialogue, empowering migrants and fostering alternative narratives and perception about migration.
A group of media experts have visited selected destinations in the Mediterranean: Malta, Israel, Tunis, Andalucia, and collected stories interviewing migrants. The objective is mapping the migration routes passing through those place. The narration of routes will allow people to understand reasons for migration, therefore contributing to undermine prejudices, to enhance mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue. The documentaries will be the base for 3 seminars, with 60 multipliers, 5 public events in Italy and Israel and a web based campaign and 4 advocacy meetings with local authorities.

The project will contribute to enhancing intercultural dialogue in the Mediterranean area, fostering mutual knowledge and relationships between the two shores, working on a specific sensitive issue that creates divisions and conflicts: the increasing presence of immigrants. The project will create media products which work as a tool for raising awareness and fighting prejudices and discriminations.

The project “Act now for Migrant Domestic Workers in Lebanon and Cyprus” was implemented between November 2013 and July 2014 and aimed at enhancing the Migrant Domestic Workers protection in Lebanon and in Cyprus through creating new opportunities for dialogue and advocacy involving NGOs, authorities, decision makers, MDWs and local communities.

Particularly, the project aimed to influence and informs policy makers on the ratification of international human rights treaties enhancing MDWs' protection in Lebanon and in Cyprus and to improve the perception of migrant domestic workers’ by the local communities in Lebanon and in Cyprus.

Il s'agissait de plénières auxquelles ont pris part plusieurs personnalités de la société civile et représentants des pouvoirs publics. Plus de 200 personnes ont pris part à ces réunions.Dates et lieux :Tunis :20/12/13 à l'Institut National d'Agronomie de Tunis.Sidi Bouzid : le 10/01/14 à l'ISET,Gabès : 31 /01/14 à l'Institut Supérieur des Langue Gabès. Les ateliers citoyens ont été organisés autour du thème "Citoyenneté et responsabilité personnelle" pendant trois week-ends répartis dans chacune de ces villes. L'objectif était de mettre en avant la responsabilité citoyenne de chacun dans la construction d'une nouvelle société tunisienne.Dates et lieux : Tunis : le 21 / 22 /12/ 2013 à la CNIPE ,Sidi Bouzid : le 11 et 12 /01/ 2014 à l'ISET,Gabès : le 1 et 2 fév 14 à l'Institut Supérieur des Langue Gabès.

La formation "Citoyenneté et diversité" a été organisée à l'attention des personnes ressources sélectionnées dans chaque ville à la fin des ateliers citoyens. Cette formation avait pour objectif  de pousser la réflexion sur la notion d'engagement, du travail en collectivité.Les activités se sont déroulées en groupe, avec des mises en situation, des études de cas avec grilles d'observation, des restitutions en plénières. Date et lieu : le 22 et 23 février 2014 à l'espace Ben Rajeb, Kairouan. Nb 41 personnes. Un séjour d'une semaine en Lorraine organisé en partenariat avec IC Lorraine pour 12 jeunes a permis de leur donner un éclairage sur l’Europe sa construction  et son développement.  Activités, visites de terrain rencontre députés.Yutz, Verdun, Luxembourg, Commune de Schenegen

With this project we want to bring together three grass root youth organization from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus and Egypt to work together on building common platform for exchange and representation of tolerances but also divisions in their countries. Young activist will support, motivate and encourage their peers to get involved as well in the project with the ideas, on topic “culture of diversity”.

Main aim is to facilitate the exchange and the sharing experiences of young people in promotion of peaceful coexistence, intercultural dialog and diversity. Educated and skilled young people from different countries will work on promotion of values of cooperation, tolerance, human rights, peace and multiculturalism.

Leaders of Tomorrow, Jordan (leadersot.org) and ARDOR, Romania (ardor.org.ro) invest a lot of effort in building a tradition of public debates in their respective countries, organizing periodic debates that engage citizens in meaningful conversations on topics that matter for them. With this vision in mind, Leaders of Tomorrow and ARDOR joint their efforts and created Diwanieh meets Closer2Oxford, an intensive debate project for Jordanian and Romanian youth (diwanieh.com, closer2oxford.ro/en).

More than forty participants got very intensive and professional training on debate, argumentation and public speaking skills. Concluding the trainings, the Jordanian and Romanian teams participated in an online debate discussing the moral duty of western states to spread democracy across the world even if it needs force utilisation. The online debate unfolded for a week and resulted in eight Romanian and ten Jordanian winners who were invited to the debate exchange in Jordan. Before the exchange, two local public debates took place in both countries. In Bucharest, the need of the Gay Pride Parade was debated, where in Amman the negative impact of media on society was discussed.

During the third week of June, eight Romanian debaters and staff arrived in Amman for the five day exchange with ten young Jordanian debaters. The group followed master classes in debate in unconventional areas in Amman and Wadi Musa. They organised a public debate in English, discussing the need for governmental funding of arts, followed by a public debate in Arabic on the question if there is space for free art in Jordan. Euromed Reporter est un projet éditorial innovant alliant journalisme participatif, reportages sur le terrain et débats citoyens afin de rapprocher les peuples du pourtour méditerranéen en luttant contre les clichés et en ciblant des sujets peu ou pas traités par les médias nationaux. L’idée est de produire un contenu unique, multiculturel, puisque réalisé par des jeunes de plusieurs pays, et proche de leurs aspirations. Avec ce projet nous avons envoyé des groupes multiculturels de jeunes journalistes professionnels ou amateurs enquêter sur les évolutions sociales et les initiatives de la société civile en Tunisie, en France et au Maroc. Une équipe de 10 jeunes européens sont partis à Tunis du en février 2014 et à Casablanca en avril 2014 puis une équipe de 6 jeunes Tunisiens et Marocains ont été accueillis à Paris en mai 2014 pour rencontrer et faire parler ceux qui s’engagent pour que les choses changent:
