The Departments’ mission and main objectives are summarized as follows:
· Education: teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students, awarding a bachelor’s degree for becoming a qualified dietitian, as well as Master’s and Doctoral degrees on nutrition. The Department is the only University Department in the country in the field of dietetics and nutritional sciences.
· Research: supporting and implementing research in all nutrition-related areas, including health promotion, community nutrition, dietary management in health and disease, basic nutrition science, nutrigenonics-nutrigenetics, and development of methodologies. Several of the projects implemented are supported by European grants.
· Public policy services: providing nutritional and health promotional services to the community, consulting Governmental and non-Governmental agencies on issues related to the development and implementation of nutrition policies, providing scientific support to the Food Industry.
The Departments’ main projects and activities involve:
· Practical Placement of the graduate students, as an obligatory module conducted in the 4th year of studies. Practical Placement is instituted by law and it is conducted in the Nutrition Department of major public hospitals. It lasts 2 semesters and it is continuous. The Department is also a member of the European network DIETS (Dietitians Improving Education Training Standards across Europe).
· Erasmus mobility. Students of both graduate and postgraduate level have visited a university department abroad, and the vice versa. Similarly, members of the teaching staff have participated in the Erasmus exchanges, to both directions.
· Awards from the Fulbright Foundation. Both teaching-scientific faculty and students of the Department have been awarded a scholarship to conduct teaching and research or studies, respectively, in the United States.
·Participation in research consortia with European and non-European countries, such as the Helena.

Το Ελληνικό Ινστιτούτο Πολιτιστικής Διπλωματίας, ως ο πρώτος και μοναδικός εκφραστής αυτής της ιδέας στην Ελλάδα, αποσκοπεί να αναπτύξει δραστηριότητες που σχετίζονται με τις πτυχές της Πολιτιστικής Διπλωματίας. Το Ε.Ι.Π.Δ αποβλέπει πρωτίστως στη μελέτη, ανάλυση, διάδοση και προβολή με κάθε μέσον, όλων των πτυχών της Πολιτιστικής Διπλωματίας. Συγκεκριμένα οι στόχοι αυτοί υπηρετούνται μέσω της ανάπτυξης δραστηριοτήτων που αφορούν την δημιουργία και την προαγωγή του πολιτισμού στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό, ιδία δε στις ανά τον κόσμο κοινότητες των Ελλήνων, την παροχή συμβουλευτικών υπηρεσιών σε θέματα πολιτισμού και ανάδειξης του, καθώς και την καθ’ οιονδήποτε τρόπο υποστήριξη των ευάλωτων κοινωνικών ομάδων.

Με την έρευνα και τεκμηρίωση ζητημάτων πολιτιστικής ανάπτυξης και την ευρεία δημοσιοποίησή τους. Με υποστήριξη της Ελληνικής Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς και την ανάδειξή της σε διεθνές επίπεδο. Με διοργάνωση συνεδρίων, σεμιναρίων, συζητήσεων, εκδόσεων, εκθέσεων και πάσης φύσεως εκδηλώσεων, καθώς και τη δημοσίευση μελετών και ερευνών συναφών με τους σκοπούς τού Ινστιτούτου. Με τη συλλογή, προστασία και διάσωση ιστορικών αρχείων, έργων, ιχνών και μνημείων τού Ελληνικού Πολιτισμού. Με τη θεσμοθέτηση, προκήρυξη και χορήγηση οικονομικών ενισχύσεων για την προώθηση των Ελλήνων δημιουργών και των έργων τους, αλλά και μελετών ή ερευνών, συναφών με τους σκοπούς τού Ινστιτούτου. Με τη θεσμοθέτηση της απονομής βραβείων και υποτροφιών σε πρόσωπα, ομάδες, φορείς ή ενότητες προσώπων, που διακρίνονται με το έργο τους στο πεδίο της υπηρεσίας των σκοπών του Ινστιτούτου.
Οι δραστηριότητες του Ελληνικού Ινστιτούτου Πολιτιστικής Διπλωματίας αναπτύσσονται, ενδεικτικά γύρω από τους επόμενους άξονες: Την δημιουργία αρχείου Πολιτιστικής Διπλωματίας Tις εκδόσεις συγγραμμάτων, δοκιμίων, μελετών, περιοδικών, έντυπων καί ηλεκτρονικών εκδόσεων σχετικών με τον προβληματισμό που αναπτύσσει η πολιτιστική διπλωματία καί οι δυνατότητές της. Την πολιτιστική τεκμηρίωση. Την εν γένει επιμόρφωση. Την μελέτη γιά την οργάνωση τής πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς τών Ελλήνων από τη σκοπιά της διάδοσης με έμφαση στην δυναμική τής Διπλωματίας. Την συγκρότηση επιτροπών μελέτης, έρευνας αυτόνομα ή σε συνεργασία με άλλα νομικά και φυσικά πρόσωπα. Our organization is an NGO with a team of six paid staff members and over 15 unpaid volunteer staff members. Our annual budget is over 60,000 Euros. We receive funding from a variety of sources, including local funds, Erasmus+, AMIF, Justice, and others.
Our modalities of action include organizing exchanges and training courses for youth participants and other members of the community. We also engage in strategic partnerships with other organizations and entities in order to further our goals.
Our main partners involved in the organization's projects and activities include the municipality of Kozani, local schools, NGOs, and sports clubs.
The mission of Hellas For Us is to promote active citizenship, social transformation, equality, and inclusion. The objectives of the organization are to create a more equitable and just society by empowering individuals and communities to take action and work towards a common goal of social change. Additionally, Hellas For Us aims to foster a culture of inclusion and respect, where individuals from diverse backgrounds feel valued and have equal access to opportunities and resources. Through their programs and initiatives, Hellas For Us seeks to build bridges between communities, promote understanding and dialogue, and create lasting social impact.
Some of our main projects/activities include :
-Awareness-raising campaigns on social issues such as discrimination, gender equality, and social inclusion.
-Volunteer programs aimed at providing support and assistance to vulnerable groups, such as refugees and homeless people.
