General Information

Our organisation is a public benefit non-governmental organization which has a decade-long experience in scientific as well as more popular forms of researches and counseling, the high-standard realisation of counseling activities. Furthermore, our organisation is an expert of crossnational projects, having several EU-funded projects achieved in various crossnational settings. Members of the organisation are highly-skilled professionals with experiences in research and analysis as well as the promotion and distribution of research results, the communication of findings. We do not have employed staff, our activists carry out the projects of the Association. Last year, our budget was around €120 000, which we spent on our projects and on the development of the organization. We have partner organizations from Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and we are looking for to expand our partnerships. In cooperation with these organizations, we planned several international projects, which focus on research social innovation and democracy

Mission and Objectives

Our mission is to increase the economic competitiveness of the disadvantaged regions and settlements of the Central European region, to promote their social and cultural development, to reduce territorial inequalities, and to catch up with the disadvantaged regions. We want to contribute to this goal with research activities, social innovation, dissemination of knowledge, preparing educational materials etc.

1. Our school is a non-profit educational organization. We have got a foundation that collect money for our cultural aims. The school has got 35 employee and some voluntary workers. We have got more partners from Hungary and from the world too. 2. Our budget for a year is about 12 million HUF. 3. We have sources from our government ( as we are an educational school) and we have got from our Foundation too. We often got money from some project sources. 4. Main Projects / Activities

1. Colourful Hungary Event Series: cultural exchange between foreign artists living in Hungary and Hungarian artists. The aim of the event series was to introduce the Islamic culture to the Hungarian audience. Organising partners included Association of Consumers for an Environmentally Conscious Society and Embassies of the eight involved countries. The events took place during one month, on weekends.
2. Participation in the camp for children living with disadvantages organised by the Buddhist University of Budapest. Helping organising workshops and preparing the children for a short theatre performance.
3. Introducing African and Arabic musical instruments to children by interactive concerts at elementary schools in Budapest.

General Information

Anthropolis Association is a Budapest based public benefit organisation with National and European activities in focus. 4-6 staff members work with Anthropolis according to actual project needs. The association has been involved in several European partnerships, projects were also granted by Swiss and Norvegian funds. Majority of the association's income is from International grants, smaller parts of our income are from membership fees and donations, National funds, tax benefit, selling books and periodicals.  Anthropolis is a board member of the Hungarian Association of NGOs for Development and Humanitarian Aid (HAND -  member of the CONCORD platform).

Mission and Objectives

Anthropolis is a public benefit association based in Budapest, Hungary. The organisation intends to promote the values of cultural relativism, participatory approach, citizens' empowerment, critical thinking and awareness on global issues. In order to introduce global perspective in institutional education and strike up social discourse, Anthropolis has created media and awareness-raising campaigns, educational programmes and materials and documentaries focused on the topics of global learning, cultural heritage of minorities, fair trade, migration, gender equality and contemporary slavery.

Main Projects / Activities

Global Learning (developing and distributing educational materials, organising workshops and courses for both students and teachers) and Digital storytelling (DST) are the main working areas of Anthropolis. We are one of the main and most active promoters on global learning in Hungary. We provide support for teachers, trainers representing all levels of the educational system to be able to embed the global perspective into their teaching practice, and promote sustainability as a complex (environmental, socal, economical) issue. Besides global educational activities, Anthropolis applies the Digital Storytelling method in different projects for diverse target groups including students, teachers, people with special needs, professionals etc. We dedicate two websites especially for digital storytelling [www.storycenter.hu and www.storycenter.info].

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Anthropolis as an active board member of the National platform's global education board is capable of lobbying at different stakeholders and decision makers level. Also has a wide range of school partnerships to have a direct contribution of different global education issues for teachers and students as well. Anthropolis is also active in the youth field.

Anthropolis' mission and main objectives correspond with ALF goals. We believe that the membership in the ALF Network would help us widening our perspectives and network with fellow organizations, NGOs and institutions, and would support Anthropolis to achieve its overall aim: to build a more just and sustainable future for everyone.

Dance Horizons is an 8-day international training course for youth workers and educators to explore the opportunities of using contemporary dance as an innovative, learner-centered approach in activities involving youth.

The training offers a practical, easy-to-follow process promoting social inclusion, healthy lifestyle and active European citizenship on individual and community levels. The main focus is the development of creativity and entrepreneurial skills.

This non profit association was established in 2005 by young people working in different cultural fields, like architecture, history and art history, applied arts and music. Beside its own initiatives which is concert organization, the association enhances intercultural relationships. Our main partners are: National Office of Cultural Heritage and the Hungarian National Trust.
Mission and Objectives

The main aim of forming the association was to promote the cultural values of the forgotten Hungarian castles with our initiative actions for their utilization, as well as to promote Hungarian musical talents and professionals by widening their opportunities in Hungary and abroad.
After one year we realized that to reach our goals we first have to improve the professional musical management by making intercultural connections.

Main Projects / Activities

Our project focuses on establishing an internet based network for professionals working in different musical fields, as follows: agents, labels, journalist, etc.
The project helps sharing information and furthers cooperation, and it also provides information about funding opportunities.
The project focuses on co-operation opportunities with Mediterranean partners.

General Information
Our organization does not have full time employees, our activists conduct the day to day organizational tasks. The contributions of our members give the budget of our organization. We have certain donors time to time, who give non-financial help (Eg. transportation, accommodation, etc.)
Mission and Objectives

Our mission is to promote the different branches of art through exhibitions, events and artist camps.
Our members work in several artistic forms from fine arts to industrial arts.

Main Projects / Activities

We have successfully organized artist camps for both children and adults from 2000-2006.
In May 2007 we organized an amateur painter camp in Gyenesdiás and in August in Sándorfalva.
We plan to organize a camp for sculptors in October in Sándorfalva and in Székesfehérvár.
We also wish to organize an exhibition in the Italian Polesella, but this project is only in the planning phase.

General Information

Artemisszió Foundation has been operating since 1998 as a non-profit organization of public interest. The founders were young anthropologists who wanted to apply their theoretical knowledge and the results of their scientific research to foster social and personal development and open-minded thinking. Artemisszió Foundation is aiming to achieve its objectives through the research, promotion, education and use of the theory and practice of intercultural communication and community building. Our intercultural community is called Mira!  where our members can meet and take part in events and actions aiming to foster intercultural dialogue and empowerment. Artemisszió works with 6 staff members and approximately 30 volunteers. The majority of our projects is funded by the European Union. We cooperate on a national and international  level with different NGOs, educational centers (schools, universities) and stakeholders.

Mission and Objectives

The goals of the Artemisszió Foundation are:
*to encourage continuous dialogue and interaction between culturally, ethnically and socially diverse groups and to foster their mutual understanding
*to support the social integration of socially and culturally disadvantaged groups
*to empower individuals and groups by using creative and artistic methods
*to develop and disseminate intercultural training courses, educational materials, and methods
*to build a strong and resilient intercultural community

The mission of the Foundation is to provide an opportunity for the widest possible section of society to take part in activities that develop competencies that strengthen relations among people, improve communication and conflict resolution skills, and contribute to the development of tolerance, mutual understanding, and cooperation. For us, it is a priority to include socially disadvantaged groups - the unemployed, people living in rural areas, the Roma and immigrants - to increase their equal opportunities and to fight social exclusion.

Main Projects / Activities

Our regular activities include: complex integration program for migrants (mentoring, language classes, cultural and social events), intercultural training for diverse target groups (social workers, teachers, professionals in the field of health, police, etc.), youth mobility programs, methodological trainings for youth workers and educators, school cooperations (global education workshops, competence building program, guidance, mentoring program, programs related to democracy education and media literacy etc), and projects focusing on social inclusion through arts (forum theatre, visual art, in local and international collaboration with photographers, video-artists, etc) and artivism.

Assembly on the Integration of Migrants

Exciting news from Menedék Foundation! The General Assembly for the H2020 #ReRoot project will be taking place in April. As you may know, this project focuses on the arrival infrastructures around migrants and aims to develop a toolkit that can be used to support their integration into society.

During the General Assembly, we'll be discussing the progress of the project, including the development of a toolkit, as well as the conclusions that could be channeled into policies. We'll also have the opportunity to visit various sites in Budapest that are connected to different forms of migration.

This promises to be an informative event, and we're looking forward to sharing our insights with you.

To stabilize tho workers wages.The unbroken financial uncertainty, after the danger of the institute existence we would like to find such as a sponzor who can make safe financiality for our continuing work.Till the time of 31.March 2009 we give employment for 3 full-time workers and 4 teachers payed by the hour. The association and the institute of Miskolc continuoing of the maintenance.
