Non-formal youth union. Active members – 30 people in summer period (teachers, volunteers, pupils), 8 people in winter period (volunteers). Activities -  education programmes, EVS and local projects. Mission and Objectives

October 2017 from October 2018 we're working as a hosts in EVS project "The Harmony Of Different Cultures", 2017-1-TR01-KA105-039993. EVS project MEDITERRANEAN YOUTH DREAM, 2018-1-TR01-KA125-057439 EVS project EUROPEAN YOUTH DREAM, 2018-2-TR01-KA125-060421 Youth exchange SUÇA TUTUNMA HAYATA TUTUN,  2018-1-TR01-KA102-054243 Youth exchange Being young in rural Europe, Society’s FRESH JUICE informal education program ‘young musician training’ The aim of the program is to promote creative development and motivation for self-realization and self- improvement, to become a musician.  Meant for youth from 13 to 32 years. One course is one year long after which students get certificate. Program is approved till year 2025. It will greatly win from international point of views and experience. For all of volunteers will be much more interesting to learn with people from abroad, improving musician skills, language skills etc. Our organization has already participated in Erasmus + project – “NETWORK AND PARTHERSHIP FOR SOHO”, where we have gained necessary knowledge about EVS projects, have met with possible partners, which was the start of understanding, that EVS is important and that we want to write euro projects ourselves. Our main activities: • Teaching of singing and playing musical instruments • Participation in the cultural life of the city and region • Social skills developing • Workshops - Union organizes creative workshops. For example: clay modeling, swordplay or yoga. These aren’t regular classes, which are hold every two or three months, theme always is different. • Concerts and Competitions – Children have the opportunity not only to learn how to sing and play musical instruments, but they also can show the result of their work. Therefore, to see their success, we organize various concerts and competitions where they and other people willing to participate can demonstrate their singing and playing skills. • Projects • Seminars, master classes, lectures -These are events to witch we invite teachers of other countries or successful people from Latvia • Summer Camps - This is an opportunity to spend summer usefully. Summer camp can be two weeks or one month long and are divided in various themes and age groups, during summer usually three camps are hold. Children have educative and entertaining program, including excursions and meals three times a day.

Gribu palīdzēt bēgļiem started as a Facebook group- movement  in 2015 to help those refugees and asylum seekers who have arried in Latvia.  Since then different help have been given - mentor assistance, organised food, cloth distribution, assistnace with doctors, education and also making socialising events for refugees and locals

Volunteers of the organizion parelly to direct help for refugees in many different ways have organized different events to bring refugees and asylum seekers together with locals, in this way to bring closer differect cultures, religions, viewpoints to start a dialogue between 2 humans.

We can share our best practice and experience what we have had when organising Living libraries with refguees in different places in Latvia, we can contribute to the festival, what ALF is making in Latvia.

Because we thinkg that ALF Network brings people, who have similar values to ours, togehter. We think that people in ALF Network believes that dialoge is the way of comuncation and brining people together solves predujuce and stereotypes.  We think that ALF can help us to work with islamofobia, xenofobia in Latvia, where we believe it s a big problem.

General Information

Homo ecos: is established in 2007. At the moment there are 5 people working in the office, organisation has a network of 60 local volunteers and supporters. He: has organize Youth in Action projects Youth exchange, initiatives. Also organize other kind of projects and applied for different kind of fundings. Also every month he: organize lectures and movie evenings, creative workshops.

homo ecos: is an environmental organisation with a mission to create social movement that not only emotionally supports environment friendly ideas but also puts them in practice and lives them out through activities that are beneficial for environment and humans. Objectives • To educate society in the field of environment protection (implementing non-formal education activities); • To promote wider use of nature friendly materials; • To promote positive environment for production of nature friendly material and products; • To develop awareness on the importance of conservation of natural resources; • To inform society on issues; • To organize, finance and attract funding for various activities with aim to promote social awareness on environment protection, waste collection, sorting and recycling; • To promote wider use of renewable energy; • To promote positive regulations regarding introduction and distribution of environment friendly materials in households; • To encourage academic research regarding environment friendly materials.

Main Projects / Activities

Organisation works to inform and educate people on environmental issues, as well as to involve them and encourage to change their everyday habits to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Our main activities and projects include social campaigns (“Latvia – the greenest country in the world” and “10/10/10 – Global Work Party”), youth non-formal education activities, educational activities (movie nights, discussions) and cooperate with partners to develop and promote sustainability guidelines for their offices and events. We have several ongoing cooperation projects with other NGO’s and public institutions

Established in 2006, ISSP is active in field of contemporary photography. We are organizing workshops, masterclasses, exhibitions, lectures and talks, and other education programmes and projects for young and emerging photographers in Latvia and internationally. ISSP is actively promoting international networking in photography.

ISSP (International Summer School of Photography) is a non-commercial education and networking platform for young photographers, in Latvia and internationally.
 Since its establishment in 2006, ISSP has yearly run the International Summer School of Photography, curated a number of exhibitions, produced 5 Catalogues, initiated related photo-education projects, and, most importantly, gathered an important community of young photographers in Latvia and internationally as well - our students and teachers come from over 25 countries. 2011 marked the launch of a year-long contemporary photography education programme in Riga.

Janis Rozentals schools support foundation is non profit organization, who supports students (aged 16-21) from Janis Rozentals Riga Art High school.In 2009, Ministry of Finance of Latvia granted the status of public benefit organization. The foundation consists of three members of the board. Janis Rozentals schools support foundation is an active participant and organiser of various exchange projects for youth, and local as well as international exhibitions.

Jaunatnes kultūras fonds "LATVIJA" (Youth’s Culture Fund “LATVIA”) JKFL is an organization formed by Latvian youngsters with a common goal to collectively develop and expand the culture of Latvia’s youth by mainly focusing on the fields of sports, music and visual arts, increasing their profitability, as well as promoting the participation of the youth in the organization’s activities.

Main Projects / Activities

As one of the operational directions that the organization sets is motivating and giving experience to the youth in fields that they are interested in. The organization shall reach its goals by combining the long-term experience of our members and by using the modern day technologies, as well as by promoting the initiatives of the youth, contribution in decision making, participation in social life and supporting youth work, therefore making them into independent individuals who are able to effectively work in teams.

General Information
The Agency for International Programs for Youth was appointed by Ministry of Foreign Affairs since ALF inception and since then has been regularly re-elected by members. The coordination of the Network in Latvia is carried out by the Agency for International Programs for Youth, a state agency overseen by the Ministry of Education and Science. Agency has the objective to promote youth activity and mobility in voluntary youth work, youth non-formal education and youth information programs and projects, and to promote youth non-formal education in connection with lifelong education. It coordinates the implementation of the EU non-formal education program "Erasmus+" in Latvia and offers possibility for youth to write and carry out projects. Agency is spreading information about opportunities for youth in Europe and enables exchange of experience. To date, the majority of members of the Latvian Network  mainly worksin the field of youth, arts, culture, etc. The Foundation provides logistical and operational support to the National Network in Latvia through the Network Strategic Development Scheme (NSDS). Under the Resources column on the right you can find important documents for the Network, such as: the recently concluded Step 4, Network Internal Rules, Members List and Member Survey Results 2010.
Mission and Objectives

Agency gives possibility for youth to write projects, spreads interesting and useful information for youth about their possibilities in Europe, supports exchange of experience and ensures consultations about project writing.

Main Projects / Activities

It coordinates the implementation of the EU non-formal education program "Erasmus+" in Latvia and offers possibility for youth to write and carry out projects. Agency is spreading information about opportunities for youth in Europe and enables exchange of experience.
