To initiate a variety of international cultural exchange.

Main Projects / Activities

Studio West: To link the link community centers, the cooperation with art schools, the production of performances and events are the main activities.
Media4Me: Media4Me is a national program where different stakeholders across the Netherlands worked on a media program in order to improve the use of media. ACLI developed different programs in Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
Code Culturele Diversity: The Code Cultural Diversity is a publication. The aim is to foster cultural diversity on different levels: organizational structure, outreach audience/visitors and cooperation between the institutions.
Brouhaha International: This festival organizes an annual parade (approximately 800 participants) with different international partners.The aim is to work out a program for 72 international artists during a week of workshops with local talents and institutions and a parade with around 700 participants. As an executive producer ACLI is responsible for logistics, planning and monitoring (film) of the process.

Mission and Objectives

The African Regional Youth Initiative (ARYI) as an organization was formed in December 2003. ARYI Nigeria is an arm of the global ARYI. It works with hundreds of youth and community-based organizations across Africa addressing development issues outlined in the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals- namely, poverty and hunger eradication, HIV/AIDS and malaria, primary education, gender equity, child mortality, maternal health, and environmental sustainability. The work of ARYI is based on action plans developed by ARYI country and regional teams.
OBJECTIVES:
To addressing developmental issues outlined in the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals.
To empower individuals and communities in the African continent.
To nurtures the exchange of knowledge and capacity between entities through programmatic partnerships with regional organizations and networks.
To direct community engagement and support mechanisms ensuring both sustainability and quality programming set ARYI’s work apart.

Main Projects / Activities

Our focus at ARYI Nigeria are addressing major issues on youth development, and empowerment by organizing seminars, conferences, workshops, summits, expert group meetings, lectures and youth oriented programmes in an effort to better the lots of the youth in our part of the world. We also intend to network with other NGOS within the region and at the international level.

General Information

I am a Syrian stand up comedian, writer, podcaster and actor. I am based in The Netherlands, but I have been performing Arabic stand up comedy allover Europe for the last 3 years. I also have 2 podcasts which have produced over than 150 episodes combined. I also teach stand up comedy, and my comedy workshops have helped 49 comedians to start their careers in Arabic stand up comedy in Europe. I am independent with no sources of funding. in 2023, I want to continue with my podcasts, my comedy school and my comedy tour to help create an Arabic comedy scene in Europe.

Mission and Objectives

I have given Arabic comedy workshops in 4 European cities; Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels and Cologne. The plan for 2023 is to expand the network of comedy workshops and increase the number of Arabic working comedians and create an Arabic stand up comedy scene. Continue producing my podcasts "Tak Tak podcast" and "Qatch wa Lahch" which bring a new spontaneous flavour to the Arabic podcast sphere. Tour more European cities with my Arabic comedy shows to help open conversations about liberal ideas and concepts.

Mission and Objectives

We aim to promote and improve intercultural contacts between Mediterranean migrants and local people in Europe from one side and between Mediterranean Arts/ Artists (in all fields but specially music) and European Arts / Artists by means of organizing the Euromediterranean Cultural Festival to be held every year in a different Euro-Mediterranean country.
The objective is to improve the contacts on public level and have better understanding between people (especially Moslem Arabs) and the people in Europe.

Main Projects / Activities

The Euromediterranean Cultural Festival (see above) and individual participations by artists / groups to be invited to perform in another country.
We are working on a project to get different professional musicians from different Euromed countries to perform one act with all their different music types/ rhythms/ structures etc.. (symbolic for our aims).
Produce Media projects serving the same objective and later establishing an Internet TV/ Radio Broadcasting.

"Atelier Kunstgras" (www.atelierkunstgras.nl) is a small cultural organisation. Painting is its core activity. It has one staff member and cooperates with different partners depending on the type of project. Funding comes from workshops and courses, artwork, and subsidies for specific projects. "Atelier Kunstgras" offers workshops and courses on painting and organises small-scale, concrete projects in cooperation and exchange with others. Partners involved so far include the Municipality of Utrecht, Stichting de Vrolijkheid at the centre for asylumseekers in Utrecht, schools, parents, a community health centre, an art museum, and artists from different disciplines and backgrounds.
Mission and Objectives

"Atelier Kunstgras" seeks to create place and space for anyone who would like to explore the world by painting and invites people to look across 'borders'. The main objective is to stimulate people, in particular children, to discover their own language of expression by encouraging everybody's talents taking paint, imagination and freedom as a starting point. "Atelier Kunstgras" has a special interest in languages, textiles and the Middle East.

Main Projects / Activities

The core activity is painting - in a broad sense. There are regular workshops and courses around different themes for children and adults, combined with expositions. Special small scale projects are organised with children from various backgrounds including refugee children.
The project "A fly in an Airplane" was carried out in cooperation with a Dutch primary school.
The project "Kids Art" gave children from the asylum-seekers centre and children from the neighbourhood the opportunity to express themselves in their own 'secret language'.
The project "Design your own Grass Carpet" was organised in the open air at the occasion of the Dutch Day of the Park and resulted in a multicoloured grass carpet.
The project "Art at the Hairdressers - Exchanging Looks" is scheduled for the end of 2009 in a multicultural neighbourhood.
