General Information
The Autokreacja Foundation aims at fostering the approach of active participation in civil society. Through various initiatives in the field of social economy we contribute to the civilizational, cultural and economic development of Poland. The Foundation has three major domains of activity: strengthening the NGO sector in Poland through tri-sector cooperation with private and public entities, socio-educational projects in favour of multiculturalism and CSR partnership with business. We want to put the spotlight on problems of diverse social groups that are often marginalized; that is why we focus on cooperation with long-term unemployed, children and youth from underprivileged regions, unemployed women, immigrants and refugees, the elderly. Many of our projects were designed to favour multiculturalism and intercultural exchange by bringing together different lifestyles, points of view and philosophies. The Autokreacja Foundation belongs to the network of organisations members of the Anna Lindh Foundation. Our conviction that sharing, experiencing and debating are the best ways to progress, permits us to be open to new initiatives and to welcome with enthusiasm possibilities of cooperation with organizations dealing with different domains in many countries and cultures all over the world.
Mission and Objectives

For Autokreacja the most important is to work with people. From the beginning organization supports unemployed helping them to rejoin the labor market. It also runs workshops and trainings for other organizations and institutes in order to rise the personal competences of their employees. Autokreacja also works successfully with migrants as well helping their integration into the local environment and community. The organization works with several experienced trainers.

Main Projects / Activities

People involved in Autokreacja organized several training programs for disadvantaged groups such as: - Refugees – intercultural workshops run by an intercultural psychologist, - Long-term unemployed – different workshops for integrating them to the labor market - Unemployed women and those after maternity leave – trainings for developing professional knowledge and competences - Unemployed over 50 years – adjusting their abilities and knowledge to the needs of the labor market - Immigrants from outside of the European Union – giving help in searching for a job and in running economical activity in Poland

It organizes interdisciplinary projects such as scientific and literary seminars, conferences, debates, contemporary art exhibitions, theatre and dance performances, audiovisual presentations, festivals and concerts of classical, jazz, rock and folk music. The BSCC has also published a number of its own books. The BSCC organizes nearly 40 events a year, most of them include international co-operation. 5. A great number of our projects is supported by Nordic and Baltic ministries and embassies, the European Union, Polish state funding and commercial sponsors. We also co-operate with the Polish Ministry of Culture and the EFAH.
Mission and Objectives

Among the BSCC’s statutory objectives are national and international creation and promotion of Pomeranian culture as well as the presentation of the achievements of other countries, particularly from the Baltic Sea Region, in Europe and beyond.
The BSCC activities are focused on presenting the artistic and intellectual wealth of TriCity and its region to both, national and foreign audience. In order to achieve that we are trying to encourage a wider than bilateral model of the cultural exchange. Thanks to that BSCC is also able to promote artistic events created in co-operation with its international partners.
One of our main objectives is to show the potential of young artists, facilitate them the way to international projects and educate through this collaboration.

Main Projects / Activities

During numerous projects we have been working with artists from all around the world.
The BSCC is an organiser of the Festival of World Cultures “Window onto the World”. The main goal of the festival is to create a meeting spot for people of all nations and cultures, a place where they could freely exchange experiences, share thoughts and ideas. We are convinced that an honest dialogue between multicultural artists and the publicity is necessary to build a society of solidarity and understanding.
Among our biggest undertakings there is e.g. the SEAS, a cross-cultural project connecting artists and intellectuals from the Baltic and Adriatic Sea Regions. The BSCC had been involved in the SEAS platform since 2002 until the termination of the project in 2005. Overall budget included 2,4 mln EUR.
Since 2004 it operates the ARS BALTICA Secretariat (www.ars-baltica.net)

Mission and Objectives

Brave Festival – Against Cultural Exile is a festival organized since 2005 by Song of the Goat Theatre Association. It takes place in Wroclaw and in Lower Silesia. For over 10 years artists from all over the world are invited to present their traditions. It is a festival of brave people, people who speak about where they come from, what their values are and what their tradition and spirituality is. Therefore, they help to save and protect forgotten, abandoned and forlorn cultures. Brave Festival has also very important project which is called Brave Kids – its aim is to meet, integrate and start a collaboration of artistic groups of kids from different continents.
Each edition of our festival focuses on a different aspect of either humanity or region of the world. Previous ten editions have been titled so far: Magic Voices, Asian Voices, Drowned Songs, Rituals: Out of Africa, Prayers of the World, Enchanters, Mask, Women Initiating, Lost Rhythm, Sacred Body and this year – Griot.
An extremely important element of our work is to take up brave artistic initiatives of high social value which are based on the attitude of tolerance, openness and exchange of cultural experiences. During the concerts, performances, rituals, cinema screenings and meetings with artists we present output of different cultures from very distant and diverse parts of the world.
Moreover, since the very beginning of existence of Brave Festival the revenue from ticket sales is designated to support humanitarian activities in Tibet led by the international charity organization, ROKPA. Following its motto: “Helping where help is needed”, ROKPA brings help to people in the poorest regions of the world where other aid agencies rarely operate. All proceeds from ticket sales for Brave Festival 2015 were designated to support the victims of the earthquake in Nepal. Together we collected 31.000 EUR net.

Main Projects / Activities

The Foundation realizes projects within European Social Fund, Youth in Action Programme, Europe for Citizens and local grants.
In 2010 The Foundation started to realize Projects within Human Capital but later on specialized in transnational projects which brought more benefits and added value to the general development of the Foundation.
Now the Foundation is realizing project with England concerning vocational learning.
The Foundation applied for a big international project with 12 countries involved whose aim is to promote tolerance and intercultural dialogue (Europe for Citizens Programme).
The Foundation is now very focused on activities engaging foreign partners and promoting intercultural and multireligious dialogue.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

CEL Foundation is ready to share experience in the field of international projects on different topics, exchange contacts and promote ALF. CEL Foundation would like to work actively in the field of transnational cooperation and initiate project here in Kielce, the city with a difficult and shameful history connected with the Jewish pogrom.
The purpose of the CEL FOUNDATION is to promote intercultural dialogue through the exchange of cultural, intellectual, and social values. In addition, the goal of the Foundation is to promote knowledge and mutual respect between representatives of the Mediterranean culture and countries of EU. The Foundation would like to encourage local citizens to exchange dialogue between heritage of the Mediterranean countries and the countries of the EU. The problem in Kielce is that projects based on such theme are rare and not so well promoted. CEL Foundation is very open for initiatives realized within the ALF Network and ready to organize some activities in Kielce.
The Foundation would contribute to a wider promotion of ALF and the activities it initiates, its potential and role in enhancing mutual understanding and multicultural dialogue, active citizenship and participation. CEL Foundation plans to realise international projects in order to promote transnational activities and benefits stemming from such cooperation.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

CEL Foundation is planning to organize a big multireligious and multicultural conference in Kielce, the city where the last Jewish Pogrom took place. Its aim is to prove that many generations passed and the new generation, present inhabitants of the city are open minded and tolerant. The aim of CEL FOUNDATION is to initiate international events leading to enhancing dialogue between cultures and religions. The Foundation cooperates locally with Association of Jan Karski from Kielce and aims to initiate multireligious and multicultural events promoting tolerance and mutual understanding. The previous project CEL Foundation applied for was the project in the partnership with Museum of Dialogue of Cultures.
CEL Foundation is planning to create a kind of Transnational Center for Mutual Understanding whose aim is to promote international projects and encourage institutions and NGOs to think about projects with countries from outside EU. Thanks to such attitude we would like to break a stereotype that international projects are restricted only to EU Member States.
