- Arts
The main missions of the association are:
a support of an idea and values of civic society in local communities of swietokrzyskie in Poland;
an elicitation of unprivileged and excluded persons, especially through arts;
promotion of local identity and culture.
1. Youth Academy of Culture exists since September 2012. It is an afterschool workshop for youth and children. The Academy runs four separate workshops - journalism, photography, traditional dance and theatre.
2. I wish to say, civic journalism workshops, dedicated to high school youth. The workshops learnt how internet can become an active mean of civic society journalism.
3. I, a citizen of this city is a yearly festival that gives citizens of our town occasion to communicate ideas and to think about local identity.
The organization can share its experience about cooperation within small local communities. We can also offer passionate engagement when it comes to tolerance, development and education.
Although Curve of Culture Association is a local organization, it has very strong international/Mediterranean touch to it. Two of the board members, namely Dominika Zarzycka and Michal Busko, are funders and owners of polish language news website that writes about the Middle East and North Africa: www.bliskiwschod.pl
They implement their knowledge and fascinations to local activities as well. For example the Youth Academy of Arts students started to cooperate with youth from Palestinian Territories, they exchange their photographs and ideas online.
We hope to develop this kind of cooperation on local level thank to ALF.
