Association of Finance Officers was established on 23.05.1997.
The goal of AFO is to provide permanent pre-conditions for exchange of information, good practices, knowledge and experiences and development in the areas of financial management and control and internal audit in the public sector, NGO sector and other entities from the public sector.

MISSION:
The Association of Finance Officers is a non-governmental, non-profit, and professional association, which:
Increases the professionalism of the employed in the following areas: financial management and control and internal audit in the local self-government units (LSGUs), budgets and budget users, public enterprises and other entities from the public sector;
Provides forum for dissemination of information, good practices, knowledge and experiences;
Serves as a representative of the interests of the LSGUs, budgets and budget users, Public enterprises and other entities from the public sector in the area of financial management and control and internal audit;
Builds a wide network of partners and promotes cooperation and good governance.
VISION:
National association for providing training, exchange of information, good practices, knowledge, experiences and development in the area of financial management and control and internal audit in the LSGUs, budgets and budget users, public enterprises and other entities from the public sector.

The Association of the finance officers (AFO) is a NGO established at 1997, at we have a network of members and partners in Macedonia, and in foreign countries.
The AFO have pool of experts from different areas of expertise.
The AFO have rich portfolio of implemented projects and activities.
The Association is open and willing for cooperation, exchange of knowledge, skills and good practicies. We are supporting all ideas and activities for good governace as well as civic participation, cultural exchange, and equal possibilities. We are willing and able to participate at all fields covered by ALF.
The Association of the finance officers is interested to join the ALF Network and to be its member because it is at the same line with ALF's Purpose, ideas, vision, activity. We belive that together with can build better future.
We support the ideas for inclusive and empathetic societies, minimization of the lack of trust and intolerance, and building a culture based on dialogue and exchange.
