LINKING VALUES AND BEHAVIOR: SHAPING ACTIVE GLOBAL CITIZENS THROUGH PUPILS’ MOBILITY

The forum on "Linking Values and Behavior: Shaping Active Global Citizens through Pupils’ Mobility" is organized by the Fondazione Intercultura.

They are organizing a forum that will continue the discussion on value education in individual pupils' exchange experiences lasting at least 3 months. The forum aims to assess how such exchanges affect changes in values related to global citizenship, including valuing human dignity and human rights, respecting differences, and active participation in multicultural democratic societies. The goal is to evaluate whether pupils' mobility can be a tool to shape better world citizens and promote intercultural solidarity and respect for differences among young people, encouraging their active participation in society.

The forum is scheduled to take place from November 2nd to 4th, 2023, in Colle di Val d'Elsa, Italy, specifically at the Conference Centre of Fondazione Intercultura, Via Gracco del Secco 100 - Colle di Val d’Elsa.

The forum is organized to continue and expand upon discussions from previous years (2019 and 2021) about value education in pupils' exchange programs. It seeks to understand how such exchanges impact cognitive, socio-emotional, intercultural, and behavioral domains. Furthermore, it explores the ways in which international exchange participation can transform students into more active participants in society and contribute to intercultural solidarity and community, both locally and globally. The ultimate goal is to assess the effectiveness of pupil mobility in shaping better global citizens who actively engage in society while respecting diversity.

To participate in the forum, interested individuals should likely visit the official website or contact the organizers, Fondazione Intercultura, for details on registration, fees, and participation guidelines. Information regarding registration deadlines and submission of papers or presentations, is available on the event's official website or through communication channels provided by the organizers.
