Résumé

Proposals on inclusion and promotion of the human rights of migrants are often raised on the margins of those affected themselves and more so in the case of minors.
For this reason, with the initiative of "Guide: a proposal of migrants and refugees for inclusion: youth and childhood", the ACM Foundation has tried to prepare a document with a purposeful nature, with the participation of migrants and refugees, focused on children and youth in contexts of migration and forced displacement, as a priority element, within the so-called "migration crisis" or humanitarian tragedy that affects the Euro-Mediterranean region.

With the shocking figure of more than 28 million displaced children around the world1, it is important to guarantee the safety of minors at all stages of the journey, since on many occasions once they arrive in the country of destination they face dangers such as violence, abuse or discrimination problems.
The growing hate speech, which has used this population as a target, makes it urgent to develop a decalogue for their protection and correct inclusion.

The guide follows the principles and values contained in the 2030 Agenda, providing reflections and responses to the challenges posed in the sustainable development goals, such as facing the challenge associated with strengthening social cohesion and creating more inclusive strategies in Spain, but also learning of other host countries in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

The final objective that has been pursued is the empowerment of migrants or refugees through knowledge of their own rights. In this sense, they can become leaders of their own communities, not only helping other refugees but also contributing to their host cities as examples of resilience and as active members of a multicultural society.
