City Youth Theatre (GKM) Vitez with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development and EU funds of the Republic of Croatia to new technical equipment
At the end of December last year, the Vitez City Youth Theatre successfully completed a cross-border cooperation project with the Vođinci Municipality, as part of which the best amateur theatre in BiH became richer for new mobile technical equipment worth 30,000 marks.
A new, modern and mobile stage with an area of 36 square meters, a high-quality audio system and new led theatre lighting with stands were purchased.
This equipment, said Ivan Sajević, president of GKM Vitez, will enable them to produce an even more significant and high-quality cultural production.
"In this way, we solved a very important issue, both for us and for the local community. Presumptions have been made that we can organize a greater number of cultural events, to make our and guest cultural content available in every environment, regardless of whether there are technical prerequisites or not. We decided to adapt part of our production to the ambient playing conditions, but along with good will we also needed technical conditions. Thanks to the cross-border cooperation program between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was financed by the Ministry of Regional Development and European Union funds of the Republic of Croatia, we managed to acquire the necessary technical equipment, and we would like to send our sincere thanks to the Ministry for supporting this project, as well as to our friends and partners from Municipality of Vođinci headed by Mayor Martin Kordić", said Sajević.
City Youth theatre Vitez is a cultural brand of Vitez, but also of Central Bosnia, and in terms of the number of performances and the organization of cultural events, it is one of the most productive cultural organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There is no doubt that the implementation of this project will improve the quality and quantity of cultural programs and content that they offer to their large audience.
Among the numerous manifestations, it is worth highlighting the Days of Croatian theatre in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have been organized seven times, as well as the Days of theatre, which will have its jubilee, fifteenth, edition this year.
It is certain that the numerous theatre family in Vitez, which has about a hundred members, will become even more numerous with these better conditions, especially since some of the content will be more easily accessible and realized in some of the settlements in Vitez, as well as neighboring municipalities.
