A foundation established by 6 non-governmental organisation and 19 legal people in Mersin.
Mission and Objectives

It's main objectives are to support people (especially women and youth) coming as migrants to Mersin from other regions of Turkey and to provide their integration to social life.

Main Projects / Activities

The foundation gives micro-credits to women's to have their own jobs. (This period is continuing already.) We also give support women to do handcrafts and sell them. The foundation works on the project to provide a network organizing the youth in Mersin and Turkey. We have hosted to European Voluntary Service as the coordinator institution.

General Information
*We are a small group whose project on the art.But we support advocaying human rights. *We help disadvantaged people.Because they are our target groups.So one of our aims is develop them. *The story of our collection was very interesting.Because our group members recognized Iğdır hadn't many art activity.So we decided creating a group which called Iğdır Art İnitivative. The first reason of our enterprise is starting up when government don't care art.
Mission and Objectives

*We did many activity with Yeşil Iğdır Disabilities Sport Club Foundation. One of their programmes is preparing conversation club reason of learning foreign languages.
*We examine many public building, especially we query universities culture, art departments.

Main Projects / Activities

*We help ensemble of many university.Especially we did common project about spring student festival.İf you would like to need many photos and videos which support my ideas I can share all of them to you.
*We will create many activity in our city.One of them is organizing outdoor summer film days

General Information
IKAM is an NGO with a staff of 19. Since it has been established in December, 2006, the budgetary resources are not available. IKAM, subsidized by the Municipality of Istanbul, also receives grants from funding foundations, NGOs and local authorities on project basis. IKAM pursues activities such as field researches, establishing a database on women’s issues, training programs, fact-finding conferences, awareness raising campaigns, projects and monitoring the implementations in order to promote gender mainstreaming, to produce gender policies and to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women. Our partners varies according to the projects, however, our main partners are local authorities, universities, research institutions, academicians and women’s organizations.
Mission and Objectives

- To promote gender mainstreaming;
- To produce, to implement, to contribute to local and central gender policies;
- To run scientific researches, to offer solutions and to publish reports;
-To contribute to all kinds of works to prevent discrimination against women in political, social, economic and legal domains;
-To provide training and mentoring services to promote the advancement of women into politics.
-To fight against all forms of violence against women;
-To form a women’s database inclusive of former data and studies;
-To support, cooperate with and offer consultancy services to individuals and institutions working on women’s studies.

Turkish NGO / NPO, permanent staff of 2 persons, project based employees up to 20 persons. A branch in Sweden (Koman's Art Association). Wide network of partners both in Turkey and in the EU, specialised in arts / cultures or sciences. Project based resources. Between 50 000 to 100 000 euros budget annually, since 2004 (funding: private sponsors, donations, EC). One of the very few organisations in Turkey which is combining artistic, scientific and cultural activities to social aims.
Mission and Objectives

The Ilhan Koman Foundation was created in Istanbul in 1999 by friends & relatives of Turkish-Swedish artist Ilhan Koman (1921-1986). It works on 3 main themes, besides of promoting Ilhan Koman's artistic and scientific heritage:
-As it is managing this artist's collection, of which an important part is embodied in monumental artworks permanently erected in streets of Stockholm, Istanbul and Ankara, the Koman Foundation works on promoting ‘art in public space'
-As another specificity of this collection comes from the scientific properties of most of the artworks, the Koman Foundation participates actions enhancing links between 'arts and sciences'
-Finally, as Ilhan Koman shared his life among several countries (Turkey, Belgium, France and Sweden) his foundation aims to promote exchanges among these 4 countries, as well as wider international cooperation
In summary, the Koman Foundation mostly participates in socio-cultural actions related to sculpture and to a more democratic access to arts, cultures and technology.

to help people who are in need, suffering from poverty, victimised by wars and natural disasters, to financiallly assist orphans around the world, building orphanages, providing water pumps in rural areas, improving women's situation through seminars, conferences, increasing level of awareness of women, supporting democtarisation, human rights and rule of law. voicing up against oppressions, violence and violations of human rights.

protecting family project is going on for 3 years to sponsor orphaned children in various countries and at home. animal sacrificing (Qurbani) donation project is done every year to the less developed countries and people. constructing water well project for Africa and eartquake victoms in Pakistan. Building a kindergarden for disabled children in Palestine. child education seminars, towards a better communication psychology seminars, health checks for women in poverty by doctor members, publishing regular bulletin, declaring press releases and joining street activities when needed with other NGOs, etc...

Implemented activities for the period October-December 2020 by HoN Turkey

HoN Turkey continues carrying out activities by engaging National Members of ALF Turkey to keep the Network active and vivid. Given the restrictions put in place due to the pandemic, these activities have been mostly organized virtually but also some small scale activities have taken place such as field visits by eventually avoiding gatherings of big groups. 

In short, the activities that have been implemented from October to December 2020 by ALF HoN Turkey are as below:

1. Multi-Country Debate #3 

On the 28th of October 2020, ALF HoN Turkey hosted virtually the Multi-Country Debate #3 in the frame of the future of civil society and Intercultural trends, with the joint participation of debaters, observers and judges from Albania, Italy, Georgia, Pakistan, Turkey, Algeria, North Macedonia and Spain.      
The motion of the debate was ‘THBT Human Activity is not primarily responsible for Global Climate Change’. The debaters presented valuable arguments and discussed the motion from different angles. The winners of this debate were the Opposition Team, represented by Hana and Patricia, respectively from Georgia and Spain.

2. Field visit #4, Ankara      

On the 20th of November, 2020, HoN of the Anna Lindh Foundation Turkey organized field visit #4 at the premises of ‘Non-Violent Society Organization’ Şiddetsiz Toplum Derneği), in Ankara, Turkey. The visit offered the opportunity of having a better knowledge of the common interests between the Anna Lindh Foundation and Non-Violent Society Organization. In addition, the participants could discuss the chance to:           
- Partnership building at local, national, and international level;      
- Latest updates of ALF Network;     
- Introducing possible funding opportunities;
The attendees, exchanged the best practices of each organization, emphasizing common goals and planning future projects and activities to strengthen ALF values and keep the strong commitment in the fight against injustices and violence.

3. Multi-country Debate #4

On the 24th of November 2020, ALF HoN Turkey organized virtually the Multi-Country Debate #4 in the frame of the future of civil society and Intercultural trends, with the joint participation of debaters, observers, and judges from Indonesia, Portugal, Albania, Italy, Egypt, Syria, Turkey, Algeria, Romania, North Macedonia, and Spain.      

The motion of the debate was THBT ‘We should invest more in nuclear power rather than in green energy’. The debaters made gave interesting overviews and convincing arguments, a fact that made it difficult for the judges while taking the decision. The observers shared their opinion related to the topic and offering the perspectives of the background where they come from. 
The winners of the debate were Muratcan (Turkey) and Oussama (Algeria) representing the Opposition Team.

4. ALF Balkans and southern region HoN Virtual Network Meeting   

On 26th November 2020, ALF HoN Turkey hosted the ‘ALF Balkans and Southern Region HoN Virtual Network Meeting’. The meeting registered the participation of Heads of Networks from the Balkan and Southern Region, following the below agenda:        
- Opening Speech & Welcoming of the participants;
- Mapping the realities regarding the operational aspects of the CSOs during the Covid-19 pandemic;
- Sharing best practices on the National Network Coordination;      
- Partnership development within the National Network Members and how this has affected the internal cohesion and joint mobilization of the National Network;     
- Inter-Network Communication and Consultation;     
- Q&A session;                 
- Closing Speech;              
- End of the ALF Balkans and Southern Mediterranean Region HoN Virtual Network Meeting.
All the participants offered an exhaustive overview of their engagement as HoN at the national level, shared best practices and challenges faced during the year 2020 taking into account mostly the difficulties that arose by the pandemic.
It’s worth to mention that the meeting served as a bridge to further strengthen the ties and cooperation between the HoNs.

5. Field visit #5

On 21st December 2020, HoN Turkey conducted the 5th field visit at the premises of Lykia Scouting and Nature Sports Club Association (LIDOSK) in Antalya, Turkey. This visit endeavored to offer the chance to further promote ALF values and foster the collaboration between the National Members. The participants shared the best practices of this year, challenges, and ongoing projects and activities. It is worth mentioning that this field visit served as a stepping stone for the organizations to initiate joint projects and activities at the national and international scale.
