Work Agenda:
1– To assemble a directory of research institutions and organizations involved in cancer research in Egypt
2– To assemble a directory of individual researchers and their specific areas of expertise and contact details
To conduct open discussion forum alongside local and National conferences that aim to identify National priorities in cancer research and possibilities for collaboration on specific projects
3– To develop research programs that shall be conducted in collaboration among the network members
4– To locate and advertise funding opportunities for cancer research
5– To connect with regional and international cancer research organizations
Currently, we have several active research programs: - a breast cancer program titled: Genetic, Hormonal and cultural determinants of breast cancer risk in Egyptian women under 50. - utilization of 5HTT gene polymorphism as a prognostic indicator in cancer. - National HCV prevalence study and others

Documentation and archiving, research, workshops, performances and events, promotion, networking, production of audio and visual materials. ECCA has worked with Nubian, Jaafra and Zar musicians in all of the above. It is currently pursuing fieldwork, documentation and research into religious vocal music traditions, vocal music of the Delta, and performers of five endangered wind instruments (arghoul, mizmar, settawiyya, kawala) and will produce audio/visual materials documenting these traditions.

• Under New Media Program EDA planned and carried out the following projects:
Elma7rosa.net Internet Radio: Youth Internet Radio based on article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Convenient for the Civic and Political Rights. It works for promoting Democracy, Human Rights, political and religious tolerance in an entertaining, dramatic, and news frame.
Elma7rosa Academy: Project proposal to the American National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The main idea of the project is the production of radio shows and new media materials by various groups of youth that are politically, culturally, religious different, that are going to be put in the same arena for a long time to cooperate in producing such materials.
• Under Political Participation Program EDA Planned for the following projects:
Including Disable Citizens in the Electoral Process: Project Proposal to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) about activating the disable citizens voters block through eliminating the obstacles that may face them through the election process, supplying facilities, and supporting their participation.
• Under Democracy and Human Rights Promotion Program EDA carried out the following trainings:
Training Course on Human Rights: for the young lawyers, in cooperation with lawyers youth committee in the General Lawyer Syndicate.
Training Course on Human Rights: for the members of Watany Youth Parliament, in cooperation with Watany Newspaper.
• Under Political and Civic Education for Political Parties and Social Movement Youth Program EDA carried out the following activities:
Training Course on strategic Planning for Advocacy Campaigns for the Social Movements Youth.
Training Course on strategic Planning for Advocacy Campaigns for the Political Parties Youth.
Training Course on New Strategies for Political Youth Organizations, funded by Friedrich Nauman Foundation.

Produce art productions (social advertisements – plays – songs – online interactive educational games ) throw the main target groups women – handicaps – youth to make their issues and cases visible by them selves

Using podcasting and different media outlets to present a kind of citizen media with a human rights standards , EDA have established elma7rosa community radio in 2009 and elma7rosa was developed to be a media network the community
• Bolotica online academy ( political school - Politicians' academy - Active citizenship college )
An online civil education platforms targeting : youth leaders from the universities and the civil movements ,young activists the content of the platforms is an academic content and new tactics of advocacy and campaigning .

after working for more than 3 yeas – as an academy – we reach a very important methodology which it is not really an invention , working with the people to have a list of priorities of developing according to their needs , according to their needs and their vision and with the cooperation with the local councils and the governorates

Working on the organizations of democracy to improve its capacity and improving the skills and the experience of the employee of this organizations , the main target of this program is to create staffers groups and MPs office having fresh graduated with a political , economical , mass media , social background , also targeting the citizens throw political empowering for youth, women, handicaps and working with the bedwen and the Nopa people to have leaders from them to join the process of democracy
• Egypt Transitional justice scale
A program working on Tracing and mentoring and analyzing the actions and decisions which is taken by the transitional government towards achieving the international standards of the transitional justice and the reforming of the justice organizations and national media and the future of Egypt and the acceptance of the others according to Justice and national forgiveness rules
Also this program is trying to track the progress of the handicaps role and their right to vote and participate

EDI now operates two projects:
The first project to monitor the parliamentary performance with seven consecutive years (NED) and aims to develop and improve national legislation.
The second project is a campaign to educate voters participated in the elections the parliament in 2012 and also the presidential elections of 2013.
