Yabous Mission is “Develop arts in line with national aspirations and human values”
Yabous has accepted the mission of developing the current status of performing and visual arts. It is meant by developing: the investment over years to create a better situation compare to the current one.
Yabous sees the gradual development of art as a tool to achieve its vision to convert Jerusalem into a central cultural place.
Art: Includes all forms of arts such as performing arts, visual arts and literature.
National aspirations – it is national ambitions and dreams
Human values – it is the rights for people to live freely with dignity. It is based on respect of other’s vaules and beliefs with no discrimination between colors, genders and place of origin.

Mission and Objectives

works to enlighten the Palestinian citizen. It also works to develop talents, capabilities and consciousness through civil, human rights, democratic behavior and peace edification. This instruction is to be done through unitary activities and programs that are supervised by a group of experts whose goal is to make the Palestinian citizens capable of defining their independent character. Its purpose is to develop performance and achievements and the ability to escape the circle of violence and its negative effects.
Children and women are the primary attention at the YCC because they are the most capable in changing their community democratically and peacefully. Its purpose is to expand the Palestinian child culturally, socially, and intellectually and to inform them of their rights. The center plans as well to enlighten the community's view of women in order to support them effectively in developing their individuality and importance to society. It also intends to maintain awareness of the reality of refugees and their rights. It aspires to set the foundations for civil community and democratic concepts on the basis of respecting freedom of speech.

General Information
The number of the staff are 5, kindly look at the attached file that show YAF internal structure. The organization has two financial sources: 1. Internal one: YAF runs an Evening School for training fine arts for children, youth and adults. Thus the students’ fees are considered a financial source to organization. However, the organization doesn’t depend on it as its main financial source. 2. External one: It’s based on the funds that the YAF gets to fund its projects, for example it got funding from Potential Mission, British Consulate, and American House, Save a Children/UK, NDC and other national and international organizations. YAF mostly depends on this funding as its financial source more that the first one. YAF main partners are CBOs (Cultural center, Women Associations and child clubs) throughout the West Bank. YAF has almost 40 partners in Tulkarem, Jenin, Ramallah, Nablus, Bethlehem, West Jerusalem and Hebron Young Artists Forum carries out training workshops, recreational activities and projects including cultural exchange projects.

YAF Mission
Young Artists Forum was established to contribute to community development in The West Bank through employing the large potentialities of arts for improving the cultural and intellectual situation of children and youth in Palestine and develop their individual and community personality.
YAF Goals:
A- General Objectives are :
1- To contribute to enhance community awareness of democracy, human rights, and modern civil society among children and youth in West Bank.
2- To contribute to enhance the role of arts and modern artistic culture in the Palestinian society.
B- Temporary Objectives (emerging from the General Objectives):
1.1 To enhance community awareness about human rights, democracy, tolerance and the respect of low principles among 2000 youth and children in West Bank.
1.2 To enhance the abilities of 400 children in the areas of tension in West Bank in bio-interaction with the surrounding.
2.1 To contribute to raise the level of teaching fine arts among 1000 teachers and students in primary schools in West Bank .
2.2 To empower 200 youth (males and females) of trainers and professional artists in the work market through vocational training in applied arts (Graphic design, illustration, internal decoration, and Arabic handwriting)
2.3 To empower 2000 talented children and youth in figurative arts in West Bank.

Main Projects / Activities

YAF implements cultural and educative projects throughout the whole West Bank. It uses fine arts and drama as a method to raise social awareness among its target group, convey educational messages, empower youth and enhance the psychosocial well being of children specially who live near to the Apartheid Wall through the next three following programs as there are indicated in the strategic plan 2012-2014:
• The Community Educational Program (raise awareness) for Youth and Children through Arts.
• The Psycho-social Intervention Program for Children through Arts.
• The Arts Training Program for Teachers and Students of Basic Schools.
• The Arts Training Program/Vocational Rehabilitation on Applied Arts (Graphic Design, Illustration, Internal Decoration, Arabic Handwriting).
• The Arts Training Program-Evening Arts Institute / Ramallah and Tulkarem.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

YAF will be careful to attend Anna Lindh workshops and meetings, and productively participate in the discussion. YAF will also participate in any networking among ANF members.

YAF would like to join ALF Network since our organization mainly works in the culture field and considers the cultural exchange between Palestinian youth in Particular and youth from other regions an important component for building bridges between youth on one hand and between the cultural organizations from the other hand, and also to promote future cooperation among them

General Information
Structure: member-based NGO with general assembly, board and staff. Staff includes two project coordinators, one program development officer, one part-time accountant, one admin, plus two field coordinators. Budgetary resources vary depending on projects. Sources of funding: donors such as Ruwwad/USAID, UNDP, Friedrich Foundation, U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem, among others. Most of our projects consist of workshops, training, mentoring for young entrepreneurs, students, and young people wanting to start up their own business. We also organize the only national conference on entrepreneurship in Palestine, and work to promote entrepreneurship on a policy level. Our main partners are the same as our donors.

Main Projects / Activities

All YEP's activities aim to promote youth entrepreneurship. Current projects include a business incubation project for young university graduates starting up their own businesses; an internship program for youth; a microbusiness project for poor families; and a workshop and training series on entrepreneurship. Past projects included a women entrepreneurship project.

Budgetary resources During the year 2013, total budgetary resources available for spending was $ 78-000 including in-kind contribution from certain institutions. This amount is treble the budgetary resources in the year 2012. Mission and Objectives

Our mission is to establish, support, sustain and develop youth film and modern media communities in Palestine, by providing children and youth of both genders with audiovisual and new media tools to change their perceptions of themselves as being victims into positive acting members in the society, capable of taking initiatives and be positive facilitators of change, and equip them with better means of communication and interaction with their society and other youth in the region and the world at large.

Main Projects / Activities

Our aim is to develop self expression activities using different types of available tools and media channels especially audio visual medium. This will be implemented through three dimensions:
Activity 1: Designing and implementing training on utilizing audio visual and social media channels.
Activity 2: Launching the annual International Young Filmmakers Festival film.
Activity 3:  To set-up film clubs for youth and children.
Activity 4: To conduct constant activities for youth and children.
Activity 5: To build a children and youth "village" through allocating a piece of ground in the outskirts of urban areas.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Our experience in filmmaking training and the empowerment o youth is quite rich and tested in reality. We can make our experience available to other network members and we can cooperate with them whenever possible to implement more adequate programmes and services for youth in the MENA region.    

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

The Young Palestinian Young Filmmakers Society is relatevly young and still accumulating its knowledge and experience to better serve young generations in Palestine by providing them with new tools of communications and self expression means. By joining ALF network we will be able to build bridges o cooperation with other network members and exchange experience. It will help us learn from other members and it will widen the borders of our activities.

Youth and Combating Hate Speech

As part of their programme targeting youth, dialogue and combatting hate speech, Jabal An-Nar Club, member of the ALF Palestinian Network, organised a series of workshops and trainings during February 2022 which concluded on March 8th, International Women's Day. 

This program was carried out in Nablus and aimed to train youth on how to better express themselves, give back to the community, allow for room for creativity and acceptance of the Other by combating hate speech and stereotyping. 

The trainings and workshops sought to develop life skills and journalistic skills of youth between the ages of 14 and 29 years old. 

The program was carried out with the support of  the Anna Lindh Foundation National Network in Palestine.
