Crossing Borders’ aim and mission are to provide neutral space for dialogue and skills training to enable youth and educators from societies in conflict to fully participate in the development process of their communities.
CB activities comprise courses, seminars and workshops in conflict management, intercultural communication and journalism skills, and the publication of bimonthly CB magazine. CB has three programs components: 1. Youth Programfor Danish, German, and Israeli (Arabs and Jews), Jordanian and Palestinian youth aged between 16 and 20. In this program, the youth receives courses in Denmark and follow up seminars in the Middle East/Germany. 4. Youth Capacity Building Program for Danish, German, and Israeli (Arabs and Jews), Jordanian and Palestinian youth aged between 20 and 25. The youth receive intensive training in project development and facilitation skills in Denmark. 3. A program for Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian teachers who are interested in using and developing the Crossing Borders concept and magazine in the class room. Finnish and Danish teachers will be joining the program in the fall.
