ALF Hands-On training module 3:  Foster understanding and learning through online facilitation

September 5th, 7th, 12th, 14th, 22nd, 14:00 - 16:00 CEST, & September 19th, 14:00 - 16:00 CET & 17:00 - 19:00 CEST (group split)

The training aims to equip its participants with skills to communicate in a more meaningful and understanding way, as well as skills to become fosterers of such communication among groups of people. Through the use of hands-on non-formal education methods, participants will have the chance to acquire skills in promoting understanding and meaningful connections, as group facilitators. The training also focuses on practising active listening and critical thinking, skills which can be used to build rapport and enhance learning during a discussion. As a result of the training, participants will be prepared to facilitate discussions among intercultural groups that will promote understanding, while being aware of their role as facilitators and how to deal with the group's dynamics. In this way, they will get the basic competencies for facilitation, while also increasing the quality of communication and rapport within their own personal relationships.
