Al-Manal Association for the Development of Rural Women is a non-profit Palestinian civil organization dedicated to the development, relief, social, democratic and charitable fields. It was established in the city of Deir al-Balah.
The number of members of the Board of Directors consists of 7 members consisting of 3 males and 4 females. Project coordination is carried out through the specialized ministries and local and international partners, by identifying the needs of service seekers through focused groups, including both sexes, in-kind studies and reports issued by official authorities. Sources of financing International, local and self-financing, with a budget of (1753171) for the year 2021
Our association aspires to build an effective and active movement for Palestinian women who are aware, educated and aware of their needs and are able to achieve them for a Palestinian society based on the foundations of justice, democracy and equality.
The organization's Objectives:
1. Contribute to enhancing the sensitivity of the local community towards women, gender justice, and the role of women in the sustainable development process
2. Providing psychological and social support for women and their children, and working to reduce violence against women in all its forms
3. Work to combat poverty and social vulnerability and establish a fund for this purpose in order to promote and support small projects
4. Training and qualifying the empowerment of women
1. "Towards Effective Political Participation that Supports Democracy and Promoting Mutual Understanding", project funded by the NGO Network.
2. "Raising awareness of the importance of participation in the electoral process" project
3. "Raising Awareness of Gender-Based Violence (Gender Programme)" , project funded by UNRWA.
4. Small income-generating projects for low-income families that include people with disabilities.
5. The emergency relief project, which aims to help poor and marginalized families and any families affected by wars, disasters and epidemics, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development.
