Mission and Objectives

ACAF - Alexandria Contemporary Arts Forum is an independent organisation that functions as an alternative venue for the presentation and research of contemporary visual culture, both local and international. It is dedicated to exhibiting high quality contemporary art whilst not forgetting its educational role towards both "the artists of tomorrow" and the audience. ACAF works at the grassroots level to promote contemporary art in Alexandria and Egypt. The Forum aims to stimulate the emergence of a new generation of artists and to advance awareness, education and appreciation of contemporary visual culture in a non-commercial way.
