General Information
ALEXIS is a non-profit informal organisation of independent individuals active in youth work. Our goal is to empower and motivate youth workers and young people throughout non-formal method way of practicing. We aim to develop a personal impact on socio-psychological concept and self-confidence of people. Our nature is based upon: Promoting, organizing, advising, travel consulting, language support for English, Spanish and Greek such as experience of: Erasmus+ European Voluntary Service, Mobility of Youth Workers and Strategic Partnership for Youth. Our work is focused on: Art & culture, filmmaking, decorating, psychology, foreign languages, animals, workshops, non-formal education and NEET. Our mission is to add value of the youth work by helping and achieving the desired level of quality and safety for their skills, assets and processes; to protect their brands and enable their success. Erasmus+ Training Course: Reinforce Your Professional Future - Madrid, Spain (October 19 - 25, 2015)
Project: Interculturalidad En Los Barrios. The project took place from 01/10/2011 to 30/06/2012 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

We have participated in the training course “Reinforce Your Professional Future” was based on non-formal and informal education
with a self-directed learning approach. The training course was developed from the expectations and needs of the participants and
the experience and knowledge from the trainers.
The training course was characterized by highly participatory, interactive and experiential methods. The working methods included
case studies, working in pairs and small groups, team building activities, discussions, workshops developed by the participants and
self-assessment, for improving application skills by empowering yourself.
Target: Youth workers, youth leaders and volunteers working in a non-formal learning setting

Sociocultural Center CSC José Saramago de Vite and ETL Don Bosco - Santiago de Compostela, Spain
Working experience with children and youth on an nine-month extensive project requiring socio-psychological, camera & computer
skills, accompanied by a great deal of creativity of activities with children and young adults at the Sociocultural Center CSC José
Saramago de Vite and ETL Don Bosco such as other sociocultural centers in Santiago de Compostela.
We have been working with interest and motivation in cultural activities and leisure time with children and teenagers, presenting our
capabilities of communication, social skills, enthusiasts, creative, with initiative values and ideals about solidarity and European
identity. The center was always visited by the local TV of Santiago - visiting and interviewing the workers, volunteers, children,
young people, adults and it's activities.

Tasks
• Maintenance, animation and dynamization of play room
• Activities in the youth club: Handicrafts, video, excursions, modern dance...
• Youth information point: Updating information, dissemination of youth activities, information about the Erasmus+ Programme
• Workshops: Theatre, handicrafts, dance, etc.

Our individual and organisational activities
We have been actively involved as an organizer and participator in drama and several cultural activities and events, such as in Macedonia, Greece, Spain and United States. All year round project for youth exchange in Colorado, USA where a huge impact was given on the European art and culture from the 1930's and 1940's  - presented to the group of students in a Charter High School in Fort Collins. Watching movies from those decades, discussions, preparing it's own speech, improvisation and picturing situations of each topic.
While attending this class the young people were improving their skills, absorbing knowledge and learning development. Even though was a part of a high school system - the charter school mostly used an informal way of learning. A drama class in Michigan, USA with theater play as a product - Acting and shooting movies in different locations in Colorado and Michigan.
English conversation hours with Peace Corps's volunteers in Macedonia on weekly basis in Prilep - learning and talking on different topic every week, gathering locals to express and to learn new language skills, discussion on English talk between Macedonian and US volunteers. These conversation hours were popularized with diversity, cultural and social involvement of young and adults. There were different  topics of discussion: Past and present of the country background, fashion, movie hours, books, food, travel, sociocultural and psychological philosophies.
Our organisation is also independent unincorporated film making one, where we shoot, direct and act in movies on a different genres. We are dedicated to movies and creativity as well. All of these is enriched with an psychological, fun and social meaning.
We have informal photography sessions and language flash open-talk for English, Spanish and Greek.
In situations we aim using bicycle as an transportation for faster, cleaner, healthier and practical movement. Isn’t just air pollution that bikes cut down on; it’s also noise pollution which is good and safer to the animals.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Communication, motivation, creativity, innovation, organisation and planning, decision-making, risk-taking and teamwork, intercultural awareness, self-determination, participation in societal development, the individual‘s assuming of responsibility and flexibility.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We are interested and working on Mediterranean topics and we are self-motivated into cultural cooperation  awareness and developing.
