Mission and Objectives

Vision
The lack in development of the dialogue between cultures and people, both in the past and in the present, becoming the source of many serious problems.
In a world with globalization trend towards a narrowing of distance and time, the problems and difficulties associated with lack of dialogue and awareness become more apparent and threaten the world peace. Therefore, the development of dialogue is very important.
Of course, there can be a misunderstanding between nationalities and people with different cultural backgrounds, but their solution is necessary to possess objective information and to have a strong bond, which is possible only through dialogical learning.
Speaking of dialogue, we mean not blind copying and imitating each other. In our understanding, dialogue is a versatile tool that allows everyone to be themselves and still cooperate on an equal basis with the representatives of all cultures and nations.
Dialogu Nams aims to become one of the platforms in Latvia for a dialogue in all spheres of social issues.

Dialogu Nams believes its mission is to: bring inhabitants together to spread the idea of tolerance and dialogue in Latvia, to advance social cohesion by connecting communities, to empower people to engage and contributing to the development of ideas on dialogue, to cross-cultural communication and community building, to bring people together through discussion forums, courses, capacity building publications and conferences, and aims to facilitate dialogue on a whole range of social issues.
