General Information
CMI is a non-profit organization with a seven-member board of directors and a four-member executive committee consisting of a board president, an executive director, a treasurer, and a secretary. It is a company limited by guarantee registered in the Republic of Cyprus. All the members of the executive committee, as well as most of the members of the board of directors hold faculty positions in university music departments in Cyprus.
CMI is funded exclusively through concrete projects, seminars, and donations.
Mission and Objectives
CMI actively contributes to the growth and improvement of the musical culture of Cyprus by conducting music-related scholarship, developing and implementing innovative approaches to applied music education, sponsoring public events, and offering high-quality support services to stakeholders in the local and international music community.
Main Projects / Activities
As a new organization, its main activities thus far have consisted of offering training seminars to music teacher and hosting local conferences on different academic aspects of music. CMI was founded with the intention of participating in externally funded research and joint projects.
