General Information

The European Center for Human Rights (ECHR) is an independent, non-profit legal and educational networking dedicated to protecting civil and human. It was founded in 2015 a small group of renowned human rights activists, in order to protect and enforce the rights guaranteed by the European/Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well as other declarations of human rights and national constitutions, by juridical means. ECHR engages in innovative strategic litigation, using European, international and national law to enforce human rights and to hold state and non-state actors accountable for egregious abuses. ECHR engages in innovative of delegation office of Council of Europe and European Delegation in world.
We take an active part in the public debate on global development issues on Youth Human Rights. This we do to engaging in media discussions and by participating in reference groups, lobbying decision-makers and covering issues through conferences and international networks. Our priority concerns included trade policy, the Council of Europe, European Court of Human Rights, European Parliament and European Commission. We also support the information campaigns conducted by ECHR organizations in order to influence the political agenda, to broaden the public debate and make it more nuanced and to increase the engagement in development issues in world.

Mission and Objectives

We lobbying and advocate to European leadership and collaboration with like-minded Council of Europe and European Delegation to vigorously oppose dictators and oppression. We amplify the voices of those struggling for Human Rights in repressive societies and counter authoritarian efforts to weaken international scrutiny of their regimes. Main Projects / Activities

EU-Agenda: So we have created a working group where you can track and give feedback on major different European initiatives at different stages of the legislative and policy-making process. In this space, local NGOs have share vies on: roadmaps and inception impact assessments, which set out idea for new laws and policies on Human Rights, or have evaluations of existing ones legislative proposals and accompanying impact assessments, which are forward to the EP and Council once they have been agreed on by the Commission draft delegated and implementing acts, which either amend or supplement existing laws or set the conditions for existing laws to be implemented in the same way across the EU have your say –step by step.

European School for Human Rights: is to enable students for the calling of the professional advocator and defender of human rights, on the community and national scale, who will thus become prepared, trained and able to work in the academic and grass roots level in the human rights field, as well asin non-institutional settings, from pre-non-formal education centres to schools, children’s and students’ homes, as well as direct grassroots work in the area of women’s, LGBTI, disabilities, Refugees, Roma and children rights. The studies will simultaneously prepare and enable students for work in a local community and the society in general, and will familiarize them with the significance of research, advocacy, leadership and communications work.

Women UP: Overall objectives: 1. To enhance the participation of civil society in legislative and policy reform on women rights to ensure domestic implementation of the UN Convention on Women’s Human Rights and Gender Equality. 2. To bring together like-minded civil society organisations in Gracanica Municipality to support women rights to exercise their rights on a gender equal basis with others. Specific objective: To increase competencies of CSOs at national levels to strategically advocate and monitor reforms affecting women rights at local level.

WeareforRefugges: #Weareforrefugees is online campaign on Refuges Crises in European during 2016-2017 we are working on Social Media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitters) also we are publish every months some news about our activities. This campaign is support from MEPs and sometimes from No Hate Speech, in local level it was sport more than 20 NGOs and more 8 local Municipality. Campaign it was very active in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, North Macedonia, Italy, Belgium, Netherland and Austria. ECHR it works to much with refuggess Syrian Refugees, Eritria, Nigeria, Kenya and Kosovo.

No Hate Speech: Strategic partnership in the youth sector of Council of Europe in Strasbourg, in which we exchange experience in the use of various about youth work. An important element of the project is the training of trainers on gamification and the use of experiential learning, ECHR is co founder and members of No Heate Speech Network.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

For many years in our organization we are collaborating with different experts from in the fields of human rights, education, opportunities for youth and culture. We have a lot of experience in these fields so we can say that we are an organization whose quality may be helpful for your foundation in different project for Youth Projects. A large number of successfully done projects (that have been approved and funded with the help of European funds, Erasmus+) We are an organization that deals with issues of human rights, reconciliation of differences, promoting tradition and culture, education and youth, peace and co-existence regardless of religious, sexual or any other orientation at the local level and international level. One of our main goals are improving the mutual respect of different cultures, supporting civil society and equal opportunities for everyone. These are the ways how we can contribute to you and also the reasons why we want to be one of the members of your respectful foundation. That with joint efforts we work on the above mentioned issues in our country, France, but also in other Mediterranean countries and thus spread the tolerance and peace.
