Latvian Literature Centre is a society established to ensure international recognition of and access to Latvian fiction, poetry, plays and children's literature.
The target audience of the LLC are writers, poets, publicists, translators, literary critics, publishers, copyright agents both in Latvia and abroad, governmental and non governmental organizations in Latvia and abroad, as well as readers all over the world.
since 2003 – coordination of the international literature centre programme Literature Across Frontiers in Latvia (with the support of EU and Latvian State Culture Capital Foundation)
since 2004 – management of the culture programme ‘Latvian Literature in the World’ (with the support of Latvian State Culture Capital Foundation)
since 2004 – International Festival ‘Prose Readings’ – concept creation, production and coordination of foreign guest-participants
05–11/05/2008 South meets East – Seminar on translation of Mediterranean and Latvian poetry, Ventspils, Latvia (with the support of Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation)
since 2004 – organiser of 5 international poetry translation workshops in Ventspils and Riga
02/2008 Baltic Book Fair 2008, Riga, Latvia – concept creation, coordination of the book presentation programme, and cooperation with the organisers of the Russian guest-country programme
05/2007 Coordination of the literary events at the international festival ‘French Spring in Latvia’, including production of the multimedia show ‘Colour Fairy Tales by Imants Ziedonis’
since 2002 – organisation of book readings, meetings of publishers and the national book stand as well as participation at book fairs and exhibitions in Paris, Leipzig, Prague, London, Istanbul, Gothenburg, Frankfurt, Moscow, etc.
