PWWSD is a women's organization involved in advancing gender equality and women's rights. The organization has six branches in the West Bank and a sub-branch in the Gaza Strip. PWWSD operates through a staff of 42 (38 women and 4 men) with a total budget of one million USD. The organization depends on raising funds from international donors including UN agencies, EU, International corporations, and some other donor agencies. The general assembly consists of 27 women and elects two years administrative board of seven members. The organization addresses women's rights based on human rights. PWWSD operates through three major Programs: Women Political Empowerment and Advancing WPSA, Women Economic Empowerment Program, and Psychological Counselling and Combating GBV Program. PWWSD is a co-founder and member of several local, regional, and international coalitions/ networks
Mission Statement “Palestinian Working Women for Development is a civil feminist human rights organization which seeks to achieve gender equality and combating all forms of discrimination and gender-based violence, facilitate women access to justice, and contribute to the development process, through providing psychological, social and legal support to women, empowering them and encouraging their participation in the political, economic and social fields, and in their participation in the national struggle to end the occupation.” Objectives: Goal and Strategic Objectives Goal The main goal of PWWSD shall be to achieve: “Effective women engagement in the public and private spheres” Strategic Objectives In the coming five years, PWWSD strives to achieve the following results: 1. Palestinian women participate in decision-making in the private and public spheres on the basis of equality and justice. 2. Security and protection of Palestinian girls and women from all forms of gender-based violence are ensured. 3. Palestinian women participate effectively in ending the occupation and in implementing women, peace and security agenda. 4. The PWWSD is an agile, efficient and effective institution.

PWWSD is a leading organization in the field of promoting rights and gender equality. The organization is considered a reference in the field of developing the organizations' capacity to advance women's rights and achieve gender equality. PWWSD can contribute to enhancing and institutionalizing the work of other organizations in the field of advancing women's rights. Additionally, PWWSD leads annual advocacy campaigns in which the other CSOs could take part. As PWWSD is a member in several local, regional, and international networks/ coalitions, ten it is possible to utilize these bodies to support the work of the other CSOs in Palestine and enhance the principle of collective work.
PWWSD is familiar with the network and the diversity it has. The organization believes in collective work and that working in the field of human rights is an ongoing learning process. In this sense, it is possible to learn from the experience of the other organizations as well as developing joint work.
