SEAL CYPRUS is a non-profit organisation based in Nicosia, the ethnically divided capital of Cyprus, with members are from both ethnic groups. We use a wide range of innovative interactive educational methods to provide youth work, open and distance learning, non- formal education, e-learning and on the job training. SEAL CYPRUS is working with individuals, non-profit organisations, and public sector entities.
To promote dialogue and cooperation with the use of non-formal education tools. To foster developments in lifelong learning and employment. To mainstream blended- learning methods in youth work, adult education, and vocational education and training (VET). To promote the cultural heritage of Cyprus and the social, intellectual, and artistic development of the citizens. To promote creativity and the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, especially for the youth. To support the professional development of trainers, youth workers, and adult educators. To foster intercultural exchange and international cooperation.
Our activities include volunteer actions in social issues, cultural events, and educational programs. We coordinate Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships in the fields of Youth, Adult Education, Vocational Education & Training (VET). We are coordinating the project DARE for unemployed young NEET in four countries with the support of the EEA & Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment.
Our aim is to support the network in empowering youth and we envisage our contribution to be through training programs fostering competence development. Moreover, we can share our expertise in project management and international collaboration with other members of the network.
We would like to create as bigger an impact as possible in our country and beyond. We are working in many innovative projects and we would really like to share our learning and experience with the network. At the same time, the diversity of the members of the network will enrich our experience and will expand our capacity to serve our target groups.
