Service and Peace in the Community

''Service and learning with a global peace perspective" through promoting community service, student and youth voluntarism, social entrepreneurship, civic engagement and in youth leadership training projects. Youth are encouraged to take responsibility for themselves while caring for the other in their immediate and extended communities. Learning to understand one another through working together on community projects, living together during training combined with service seminars, reflecting individually and together on their experiences fosters acceptance, respect and empathy for the other. These empowering participation activities lead to positive interaction between youth of different faiths and ethnic backgrounds and provide the opportunities to serve together for the good of the community. We strive to make the service as of excellence, not only by the project being perfect, the reflections, the being together, training, spirit, experiencing the being together, learning from each stage trough the reflection and awareness to how we are together, the teamwork, and developing important skills. The NGO modest office with its three staff members and volunteers, is located on the seam line between the old and new city of Jerusalem. The location which is steeped in a diversity of cultures - attracts students from many countries to join our programs, helping to plant seeds of peace while enjoying physical work as part of social action. Our sources from funding mainly came from private donations and from Ministry of culture and education. these have often been our partners in projects. In the last year projects in Palestine and Israel, of youth exchanges were done, "Bicycle peace tour", MLK in Bethlehem, Winter Dream Camp for 60 children in Refugee Camps with Israeli students as volunteers,working within Israeli universities, youth exchanges with Europe ( kiev) etc.
