General Information
The Suzanne Dellal Centre is the home of the Israeli dance artists. It consists four halls for performances, rehearsal studios, wide plazas, levels and stages for performances and events held in the open air.
The Suzanne Dellal Centre is home of Israel's dance artists, the BatSheva Dance Company and the BatSheva Ensemble, the Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Company, the Orna Porat Children and Youth Theater and the Inbal Ethnic Arts Centre.
The aim of the centre is the cultivation of the dancing art in Israel, without separating it from other forms of arts. Dance, music and theatre are taught here together; In special courses for choreographers, musicians, designers and lighting personnel; In learning workshops for action and drama; In lectures by and in meeting with writers and artists, and also through special performances for youth.
Mission and Objectives
Its mission is to nurture and promote development and interest in the art of dance and to serve as an educational centre, in order to make the public more acquainted with dance in all of its forms. This is accomplished by developing work plans and creating programs for dance companies and dance artists.
