Talimhane Theatre

Talimhane Theatre is a vibrant theatre in the heart of Istanbul, Taksim, serving the possible constituency within the area and beyond,providing platform for emerging theatre practitioners and a programme of performance, education work and community drama. Talimhane Theatre will produce its own shows and provide exciting opportunity for cultural and creative exchange. The neighbourhood Dolapdere is situated in the heart of Taksim which is known as the culture centre of Istanbul. Despite this, some areas of Taksim are socially and economically deprived. Talimhane Theatre aims to bring art and cultural activities who are preoccupied only with earning money to look after their families and are not in the habit of going to attend cultural activities
like going to the theatre.
The target audience of the theatre;
People who lost their enthusiasm about theatre because they can't see the contemporary events happening on the stage,
People who prefer cinema to theatre because they can't find the modern and new ways of telling story,
Art loving people who follow the pioneer movements of the world art scene,
The audience who enjoys seeing different ideas and ways of lives on stage,
The creative art practitioners who work in the industry.
