General Information
U Marinu is a non-governmental association (law 1901) , labellized Permanent Centre of Initiatives for Environment (CPIE). It includes 4 employees and 10 volunteers and collaborators. Annual budget: 113 000 euros. Sources of financing : local and regional communties of the Corse region and PACA region (Regional councils, Deparmental councils, local authorities, communities of local authorities) private. Principal actions : interventions in the education and the environment, organization of manifestations , seminars , awarness compaigns for the public.
Mission and Objectives

- To aware , by education and knowledge , by protecting and giving value to the common history : the Mediterranean sea.
- to promote skill exchanges, experiences and pedagogical practices between the environment educational actors.
- To gather Mediterranean rivers under the theme of environment education towards sustainable development .

Main Projects / Activities

Pedagogical programs of education to environment at schools: « Ecole de la Mer », « La Rivière m’a dit », « Devenons tous éco citoyens »…
- Event « Mer en Fête » and « Med’Educ », since 12 years , between Marseille and Corsica; since 3 years around the Mediterranean in Algeria , Tunisia and Morocco .
- Participation and organization of Euro exchanges programs .
