Doctoral candidate in Art History, Vilnius academy of Arts. Currently writing a dissertation on resistance in art by considering how an attempt by the civil societies to regain independence influenced the development of art. The aim is to examine historical narratives, in the proper historical context by considering the culture and norms of the time period rather than imposing current perspectives and attitudes.
Mission. Researching study topics in order to gather knowledge and to provide valuable contributions in the field of intercultural and civil societies dialogue. Objectives. Asking questions and seeking answers in collaboration with academia is a vital part of intercultural and civil societies dialogue. Active involvement of the researcher in the societies education is therefore an important tool for bridging the gap between research, policy and practice.
The findings of my research are published regularly in both Lithuanian and international academic publications and presented at conferences and intercultural events.
My contribution I see trough collaboration with a National civil society organisations and participation as a researcher in various educational projects and events aimed to increase intercultural dialogue.
I appreciate ALF Network contribution in the field of intercultural and civil societies dialogue and would like to join with my personal contributions.
