General Information
Youth Bank Deutschland e.V. is a network of young people who want to enhance their local community by sponsoring non-profit youth projects in Germany. There are about 15 Youth Banks in Germany. The headquarter with two employees and four students assistants is based in Germany. Youth Bank Deutschland e.V. has a business volume of about 100.000 € a year. It is funded by donations and several projects Youth Bank works for. Youth Bank sponsors non-profit youth projects, offers workshops and unites young people throughout Germany. Youth Bank collaborates with Servicestelle Jugendbeteiligung e.V., SV Bildungswerk, Goethe Institut, Deutsche Kinder- und Jugendstiftung and many other German organizations.
Mission and Objectives

We want to strengthen civil society in Germany and the rest of the world by encouraging young people to strengthen the position of their local communities. We also want to afford young people an opportunity to dedicate their free time in projects in their local environment, especially those who have not been committed to any projects so far.

Main Projects / Activities

Youth Bankers accompany youth projects from the planning over the realization to the evaluation. We want to give young people an incentive to get committed in non-profit youth projects in their direct environment and accept responsibility for others in their age.

How can you contribute to the Network in your country?

Youth Bank is a peer-to-peer organization: It is run by people under the age of 27 for people under of the age of 27. We know what our target group wants and accepts from us and can meet their expectations and collaborate on an even level. We also have access to many other networks of young people in the world. We would like to share these possibilities with the ALF network.

Why do you want to join the ALF Network?

We want to share our experience of working with hundreds of young projects in Germany and different countries in the world. We also would like to hear some impressions from other organizations of the ALF Network in the youth sector. We would be so happy if we also could manage to collaborate with other NGOs of the network in the future.
